Translation

The book “Al-Mudawwana” by Imam Malik bin Anas is a comprehensive jurisprudential encyclopedia in the Maliki school of thought, which deals with the provisions of purity, ablution and washing in detail, based on the sayings of Imam Malik and the narrations of his students such as Ibn al-Qasim and Ibn Wahb. The book begins with issues of ablution in terms of the number of washings and timing, citing prophetic influences on how to perform ablution.
