Translation

The book “Umdat Al-Ahkam Min Kalam Khair Al-Anam, may God bless him and grant him peace,” is a book on general jurisprudence, compiled by Al-Hafiz Abdul-Ghani Al-Maqdisi, and he selected its hadiths from what Imams Al-Bukhari and Muslim agreed upon in their Sahihs, in response to a request to shorten a number of hadiths on ahkam. The book includes about four hundred and more hadiths, arranged under the sections of jurisprudence, such as purity, prayer, and Friday prayers, which makes it a foundation for the study of Islamic jurisprudence in the manner of the scholars of hadith and narration.
