كتاب التعريفات للجرجاني (ت 816 ھ) معجم يتضمن تحديد معاني المصطلحات المستخدمة في العلوم والفلسفة والمنطق واللغة والفنون والفقه خلال عصره. هو من أوائل المعاجم الذي له ترتيب أبجدي؛ على طريقة المسرد. صاحبه هو الجرجاني علي بن محمد بن علي الشريف الحسيني، المعروف بسيد مير شريف، وهو فلكي وفقيه وموسيقي وفيلسوف ولغوي.

Translation

The Book of Definitions by Al-Jurjani (d. 816 AH) is a dictionary that includes defining the meanings of terms used in science, philosophy, logic, language, arts, and jurisprudence during his era. It is one of the first dictionaries to have an alphabetical order. In the manner of a glossary. Its owner is Al-Jurjani Ali bin Muhammad bin Ali Al-Sharif Al-Husseini, known as Sayyid Mir Sharif, who is an astronomer, jurist, musician, philosopher, and linguist.
