Translation
The book “Al-Shukur” by Ibn Abi Al-Dunya is a collection of prophetic hadiths and narrations from the predecessors, which the author collects under the topic of gratitude for divine blessings. The book deals with the virtue and importance of gratitude, and explains that gratitude is a limitation of blessings and a reason for increasing them, while warning against ungrateful blessings and not appreciating them. The book includes various narrations that encourage goodness in the presence of blessings, link gratitude and abandonment of sin, and mention that God loves to see the effect of His grace on His servant.
