Translation
This book by Ibn Taymiyyah deals with a jurisprudential issue comparing the virtue of stationing in the borders and the virtue of neighboring areas in Mecca, reviewing the legal evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah and the sayings of the predecessors on both matters. The author aims to explain which of the two is better and more rewarding, discussing the opinions of those who hate closeness and those who prefer it, and explaining the virtues of ribat in the Sunnah of the Prophet.
