The book “Al-Athar” by Muhammad bin Al-Hasan Al-Shaybani is a compilation of hadith texts, collecting hadiths and narrations attributed to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Companions, narrated by the author on the authority of his sheikhs such as Abu Hanifa. The book begins with the chapters on purity and ablution, detailing its provisions, such as washing, wiping, and tayammum. Then it moves to the chapters on prayer, its timing, and how to perform it. The book presents hadiths with jurisprudential comments by the author explaining the rulings he takes.
