Translation

The book “Al-Athar” by Abu Yusuf Al-Qadi is a compilation of hadith texts. It collects hadiths and traces with chain of transmission from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and from the Companions and Followers, arranged under the chapters of jurisprudence. The book begins with the chapter on ablution, then addresses the chapters on purity, prayer, zakat, and Hajj, and extends to the chapters on divorce, waiting period, making up, obligatory prayers, and wills, relying in his narration on his sheikhs, such as Abu Hanifa.
