Sunan Abu Dawud, known as Al-Sunan, is one of the six books of hadith and the four Sunnahs, which occupies an advanced position among the Sunnis. It is considered one of the most important sources of hadith among them. Where it comes in rank after the two Sahihs, (2) it was classified by Imam Abu Dawud Sulaiman bin Al-Ash’ath bin Ishaq bin Bashir bin Shaddad bin Amr Al-Azdi Al-Sijistani (202 AH - 817 AD / 275 AH - 888 AD), in which Abu Dawud collected a number of hadiths, and his hadiths amounted to 5274 hadiths.
