The book Explanation of Mushkil al-Athar by Imam al-Tahawi is considered a useful book in the hadiths of rulings and evidence of controversial issues. Its author classified it in the order of the books and chapters of jurisprudence, and in it he mentioned the narrations transmitted from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, regarding rulings that some of them are thought to invalidate others, and he clarified the abrogated ones from the abrogated ones, and the ones who restricted them from the absolute, and what is obligatory to act upon and what is not obligatory, along with a list of the narrations that the people of disagreement cling to, and a statement of their support and text. And the sayings of the Companions, Imams and scholars about it. The book was explained by Badr al-Din Mahmoud bin Muhammad al-Aini (855 AH), and he paid attention to the names of its men, Zain al-Din, known as Ibn al-Hammam (661 AH), as Abu al-Hussein Muhammad al-Bahili (321 AH) explained it.
