This book, “Poetic Necessity and its Concept among Grammarians, A Study” by the author Ibrahim bin Saleh Al-Handoud, is considered one of the grammatical studies that dealt with the concept of poetic necessity and its impact on the construction of words and the formulation of phrases in poetry. In the introduction to the book, the author shows his interest in the Arabic language and its service, and talks about the importance of preserving its language and its purity. He points out that the previous view of the arts of poetry and prose was the same, but Arabic scholars noticed the disparity between them in the construction of words and the formulation of phrases. The author highlights that poetic necessity was not specifically defined in the books of grammarians, but rather an expression that led to its meaning without declaring its wording was sufficient.
