The book deals with the origins of Islamic education and its methods at home, school, and society, reviewing the concepts of education, religion, and Islam and their relationship, and the sources of Islamic education from the Qur’an and Sunnah. It discusses the educational foundations in Islam from the view on man, the universe, and life, as well as the devotional and legislative foundations and their impact on educating thought and character. It also focuses on the purpose and objectives of Islamic education, reviewing the importance of the goal and its definition in the educational process. The author begins his book by warning of the necessity of paying attention to Islamic education in light of what he sees as the loss in raising children as a result of excessive care and pampering of them.
