كتاب الزهد الكبير للبيهقي يُعنى ببيان مفهوم الزهد وأنواعه وتحديد من يستحق لقب الزاهد. يستعرض المؤلف في فصوله مسألة ترك الدنيا ومخالفة النفس والهوى، ويُبرز قصر الأمل وأهمية المبادرة بالعمل قبل بلوغ الأجل. كما يتناول الكتاب باب الورع والتقوى، مُستندًا إلى أحاديث نبوية وإشارات قرآنية، وهو مصنف ضمن الرقاق والآداب والأذكار.
Translation
The book Al-Zuhd Al-Kabir by Al-Bayhaqi is concerned with explaining the concept of asceticism and its types and determining who deserves the title of ascetic. In his chapters, the author reviews the issue of abandoning this world and going against oneself and one’s desires, and highlights the shortness of hope and the importance of taking action before the deadline is reached. The book also addresses the chapter on piety and piety, based on Prophetic hadiths and Qur’anic references, and it is classified under Al-Riqaq, Manners, and Remembrances.
