The book “The Methodology of Composition in the Biography of Ibn Kathir” is an important scientific work concerned with studying the methodology of composing the Prophet’s biography by the historian and researcher Abdul Rahman Al-Sunaidi. The book sheds light on the influences of the Mamluk era in Egypt and the Levant on writing in the field of the Prophet’s biography, specifically on the writing of Ibn Kathir in his book “Al-Bayan wal-Tanwir.” The book shows that Ibn Kathir was relying on multiple sources, including biographical narratives and maghazis, and also deals with criticism and revisions of the text.
