Translation
This is a book on the science of hadith disagreements, in which Imam Al-Shafi’i collects the prophetic hadiths that might be thought to be contradictory on the surface, and explains the ways of combining them and removing the problems with them. The author begins with a fundamental introduction about the status of the Sunnah and the obligation of obeying the Messenger, then moves to various jurisprudential chapters such as prayer, fasting, sales, punishments, and marriage, in which he presents the various hadiths and explains his approach to reconciling them.
