Translation
The book “Al-Badr Al-Munir fi Takhrej Al-Hadith wal-Athār” by Ibn Al-Mulqin is a work on the science of hadith grading. It aims to trace the hadiths and narrations contained in the books of jurisprudence and rulings and attribute them to their original sources in the collections of the Sunnah. The author clarifies his approach to dealing with hadiths. He mentions whether the hadith is in the Two Sahihs or other books of the imams, such as Musnad Ahmad, Sunan Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, and Al-Nasa’i, relying on a wide range of hadith sources such as the books of the Companions, Al-Ilal, Al-Marsail, Al-Mawdoo’at, Parties, Rulings, and Al-Amali, in addition to books of explanations of Hadith, Al-Gharib, and jurisprudence.
