كتاب كنز العمال واسمه الكامل «كنز العمال في سنن الأقوال والأفعال». هو كتاب في الحديث. من تأليف علاء الدين علي المتقى بن حسام الدين الهندي البرهان فوري والمشهور بالمتقي الهندي. قام مؤلفه بالجمع بين كتابي الجامع الصغير وزوائده وكتاب جمع الجوامع للسيوطي. وبذلك فقد استوعب حوال خمسين ألف حديث مجرّدة من الأسانيد ومعزوّة إلى الصحابي راوي الحديث أو إلى من روى الحديث في كتب السنة. وقد قام المؤلف بترتيب الأحاديث في الكتاب على الأبواب الفقهية. وقد تكلّم المؤلف نفسه في سبب تأليف الكتاب فقال:

The book, Kanz Al-Ummal, whose full name is “Kanz Al-Ummal fi Sunan Al-Qawwal Al-A’wal”. It is a book on hadith. Written by Aladdin Ali Al-Muttaqi bin Hussam Al-Din Al-Hindi Al-Burhan Fawri, known as Al-Muttaqi Al-Hindi. Its author combined the two books, Al-Jami’ Al-Saghir and its appendices, and Al-Suyuti’s book Collecting Al-Jami’. Thus, he included about fifty thousand hadiths devoid of chains of transmission and attributed to the companion, the narrator of the hadith, or to those who narrated the hadith in the books of the Sunnah. The author has arranged the hadiths in the book into jurisprudential sections. The author himself spoke about the reason for writing the book, saying:
