كتاب «التاريخ الأوسط مطبوع خطأ باسم التاريخ الصغير» من تأليف البخاري، ويصنّف ضمن التراجم والطبقات، إذ يجمع بين سيرة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وأحاديث الصحابة والتابعين مع ذكر أصولهم ووفاتهم. يضم محتوىً متنوعاً من قصص شخصيات بارزة مثل زينب بنت رسول الله، خديجة بنت خويلد، حفصة، والقاسم بن عبد الرحمن، إلى جانب سجلات وفاتٍ في عهود الخلفاء من أبي بكر إلى علي ثم الفترات اللاحقة. كما يحتوي على روايات عن أحداث تاريخية ومواقف من حياة المهاجرين والأنصار والتابعين، مع إشارة إلى بعض القصص غير التقليدية مثل «الماجشون». يهدف الكتاب إلى تقديم نظرة شاملة ومختصرة لتاريخ الأمة من خلال ما ورد في الأحاديث والروايات.

Translation

The book “The Middle History, Erroneously Printed as the Small History,” written by Al-Bukhari, is classified under biographies and classes, as it combines the biography of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the hadiths of the Companions and Followers, along with mentioning their origins and deaths. It includes diverse content from the stories of prominent figures such as Zainab, daughter of the Messenger of God, Khadija bint Khuwaylid, Hafsa, and Al-Qasim bin Abdul Rahman, in addition to records of deaths during the reigns of the caliphs from Abu Bakr to Ali and then subsequent periods. It also contains narratives about historical events and situations from the lives of immigrants, supporters, and followers, with reference to some unconventional stories such as “Al-Majishun.” The book aims to provide a comprehensive and concise overview of the nation’s history through what was mentioned in hadiths and narrations.
