Translation
Al-Mubhij fi Interpretation of the Names of the Poets of the Diwan al-Hamsa by Ibn Jinni is a book of the type of biographies and classes that specializes in explaining the origins and meanings of the names of the poets mentioned in the Diwan al-Hamsa. The author proposes a method for classifying nouns into intransitive and improvised, and presents a linguistic analysis that includes indefinite types, verbs, adjectives, and others, while illustrating examples from the poets mentioned in the index.
