كتاب تاريخ علماء الأندلس للكاتب ابن الفرضي يندرج ضمن تصنيف التراجم والطبقات، ويُعنى بجمع سيرة وأسماء العلماء والفقهاء في الأندلس مع أنسابهم ومواقعهم العلمية. يُرتّب المحتوى حسب الحروف الأبجدية، فتظهر فصولٌ مثل «حرف الألف» و«حرف الباء» مع أبوابٍ تفصيلية لكل اسم. يهدف المؤلف إلى تقديم مرجع مختصر يُسهل على الباحثين الاطلاع على أخبار العلماء ومشاركاتهم في الفقه والعلوم في الأندلس.

The book The History of Andalusian Scholars by Ibn al-Fardi falls within the classification of biographies and classes, and is concerned with collecting the biography and names of scholars and jurists in Andalusia with their lineages and scholarly positions.
