هو أبو عبد الله بن أبي نصر محمد بن فتوح بن عبد الله بن فتوح بن حميد الأزدي الميورقي الحَميدي (420 هـ - 488 هـ)، الإمام الحافظ، الفقيه الظاهري، تلميذ الأمام ابن حزم الأندلسي. وكان موصوفا بالنباهة والمعرفة والإتقان والدين والورع، وكانت له نغمة حسنة في قراءة الحديث، وله مصنفات عديدة؛ أهمها تفسير غريب ما في الصحيحين البخاري ومسلم، وجذوة المقتبس في ذكر ولاة الأندلس. وفي أثناء وجوده في الأندلس كان حميدي طالبًا لابن عبد البر وكان أيضًا طالبًا وصديقًا لابن حزم الذي أخذ عنه حميدي آراءه الظاهرية في الفقه الإسلامي.

Translation

He is Abu Abdullah bin Abi Nasr Muhammad bin Futuh bin Abdullah bin Futuh bin Humaid al-Azdi al-Maywarqi al-Humaydi (420 AH - 488 AH), the imam al-Hafiz, the jurist al-Zahiri, a student of Imam Ibn Hazm al-Andalusi. He was described as intelligent, knowledgeable, proficient, religious, and pious. He had a good tone in reciting hadiths, and he wrote many works. The most important of them is the strange interpretation of what is in the Sahihs of Al-Bukhari and Muslim, and the source of the quote in the mention of the governors of Andalusia. While he was in Andalusia, Hamidi was a student of Ibn Abd al-Barr. He was also a student and friend of Ibn Hazm, from whom Hamidi took his apparent opinions in Islamic jurisprudence.
