هذا الكتاب هو ذيل لطبقات الحفاظ للذهبي، قام السيوطي بإعداده وتوسيعه. يتناول الكتاب تراجم لعلماء الحفظ والرواية، مضيفًا إليها أسماء وأحاديث جديدة لم ترد في النسخ الأصلية لطبقات الحفاظ. يحتوي على خمس طبقات تتضمن أعلام الحفاظ، مع تقديم معلومات إضافية عنهم وتوثيق أحاديثهم. الكتاب من نوع التراجم والطبقات، وهو يهدف إلى تعزيز معرفة القارئ بتاريخ علماء الحديث وأهمية دورهم في نقل وحفظ الأحاديث النبوية.
Translation
This book is an appendix to Al-Dhahabi's Tabaqat Al-Huffaz, prepared and expanded by Al-Suyuti. The book covers biographies of scholars of history and narration, adding new names and hadiths that were not mentioned in the original copies of Tabaqat al-Huffaz. It contains five layers, including notables of preservation, providing additional information about them and documenting their conversations. The book is of the type of biographies and classes, and it aims to enhance the reader’s knowledge of the history of hadith scholars and the importance of their role in transmitting and preserving the Prophet’s hadiths.
