طبقات الشافعية الكبرى هو كتاب للإمام تاج الدين السبكي (ت 771هـ / 1370م) يبحث في علم التراجم في مجال خاص إذ يترجم لجماعة واحدة وهم الفقهاء الشافعيون حسب طبقاتهم، الطبقة الأولى فالثانية وهكذا يذكر اسم الفقيه ونسبه، وروايته ودرجته بين أهل العلم وشيئاً من مآثره.

Translation

Classes of the Greater Shafi’i School is a book by Imam Taj al-Din al-Subki (d. 771 AH / 1370 AD). It discusses the science of translations in a special field, as it translates for one group, namely the Shafi’i jurists, according to their classes, the first class and the second, and thus it mentions the name of the jurist, his lineage, his narration, his rank among the scholars, and some of his exploits.
