كتاب طبقات الشافعيين للشيخ ابن كثير من نوع التراجم والطبقات يختص بسيرة الإمام الشافعي، فمقدمةً تتناول مولده، رحلته العلمية، مشايخه، فضائله، وأقواله في أصول العقائد، إضافةً إلى سيرته في مصر ووفاته. ويضم فصولاً تفصيلية عن أحكام العبادات والمعاملات من الطهارة إلى الجهاد، ويذكر أسماء أصحاب الطبقة الأولى من نقله. يهدف إلى توثيق حياة الشافعي وأتباعه وفق منهج الطبقات.
Translation
The book, Classes of the Shafi’is, by Sheikh Ibn Katheer, is a type of biographies and classes that specializes in the biography of Imam Al-Shafi’i. An introduction deals with his birth, his scientific journey, his sheikhs, his virtues, and his sayings about the foundations of beliefs, in addition to his biography in Egypt and his death. It includes detailed chapters on the provisions of worship and transactions, from purity to jihad, and mentions the names of the people of the first class of its transmission. It aims to document the lives of Al-Shafi’i and his followers according to the class approach.
