About this work
كتاب «طبقات النسابين» للكاتب بكر أبو زيد يندرج ضمن مؤلفات التراجم والطبقات، ويُعنى بتجميع سيرة وأصول نسب الصحابة والتابعين مع الإشارة إلى وفاتهم وتفاصيل النسب. يُقسم إلى طبقتين؛ الأولى تحوي أسماء الصحابة مثل أبي بكر وعمر بن الخطاب وحسان بن ثابت وغيرهم مع توضيحات عن أصولهم، والثانية تُعنى بذكر التابعين من النسابين في القرن الأول. يُظهر النص أن المؤلف يعتمد على مصادر قديمة في تدوين الأنساب ويُعَدّ من أوائل الكتب التي تناولت تنظيم الدواوين والأنساب.
Translation
The book “Classes of Genealogists” by Bakr Abu Zaid is included in the works of biographies and classes. It is concerned with compiling the biography and origins of the lineage of the Companions and Followers, with reference to their deaths and details of lineage. It is divided into two layers; The first contains the names of the Companions, such as Abu Bakr, Omar ibn al-Khattab, Hassan ibn Thabit, and others, with explanations of their origins, and the second is concerned with mentioning the lineage followers of the first century. The text shows that the author relies on ancient sources in recording genealogies and is considered one of the first books to address the organization of collections and genealogies.
