كتاب «طبقات خليفة بن خياط» هو مؤلف من نوع التراجم والطبقات أعده المؤرخ الخليفة بن خياط العصفري البصري، ويُعنى بتوثيق سيرة وروايات عدد كبير من رجال الحديث عبر القرون الثلاثة الأولى من الإسلام. يتضمن الكتاب مقدمة وتوطئة وتقديمًا يشرح فيها المؤلف منهجه في جمع الطبقات، ثم فصولًا تفصيلية تُرتب الطبقات بحسب الأجيال والمناطق، مع وصف للمخطوطات وصورها. يُعدّ هذا المصدر من أهم المراجع التي تُستَخدم في دراسة تاريخ الحديث والثقافة العربية في العصور المبكرة.

The book “Tabaqat Khalifa Bin Khayyat” is a biographical and class book prepared by the historian Khalifa Bin Khayyat Al-Asfari Al-Basri. It is concerned with documenting the biographies and narrations of a large number of hadith scholars throughout the first three centuries of Islam. The book includes an introduction, an introduction, and an introduction in which the author explains his approach to collecting classes, then detailed chapters that arrange the classes according to generations and regions, with a description of the manuscripts and their pictures. This source is considered one of the most important references used in studying the history of hadith and Arab culture in the early ages.
