هذه رسالة في علم النفس لفيلسوف الأندلس ابن رشد الحفيد، تهدف إلى عرض آراء المفسرين في هذا العلم بما يتوافق مع مبادئ أرسطو والطبيعيات. يبدأ المؤلف بتقرير أصول مادية تقوم عليها دراسة النفس، كالتركيب من الهيولى والصورة، وطبيعة الأجسام البسيطة والأفلاك، ثم ينتقل لتفصيل القوى النفسية بدءًا من القوة الغاذية والحساسة والحواس الخمس، وصولاً إلى القوة الناطقة والنزوعية، متناولًا موضوعات الصور الهيولانية والمعقولة.
Translation
This is a treatise on psychology by the Andalusian philosopher Ibn Rushd Al-Hafid, aiming to present the opinions of commentators on this science in accordance with the principles of Aristotle and naturalism. The author begins by describing the material principles upon which the study of the soul is based, such as the structure of the particle and the form, and the nature of simple bodies and the spheres. Then he moves on to detail the psychological powers, starting with the nourishing and sensitive powers and the five senses, all the way to the speaking and inclinational powers, touching on the topics of the physical and intelligible forms.
