About this work

الاقتراح في بيان الاصطلاح وما أضيف إلى ذلك من الأحاديث المعدودة من الصّحاح، كتاب في علم الحديث ألّفه تقي الدين ابن دقيق العيد، جمع فيه مصطلاحات الحديث ومراتب الرواية والرواة باختصار والإجاز، قد به مؤلفه أن يكون مدخلا إلى التوسع في هذا الفنّ وقد رتبه على أبواب.

Translation

The suggestion in explaining the terminology and what was added to it from the hadiths that are counted from the Sahih books, a book on the science of hadith written by Taqi al-Din Ibn Daqiq al-Eid, in which he collected the terminology of hadith and the levels of narration and narrators in brief and ijazah. Its author intended it to be an introduction to the expansion of this art and he arranged it into sections.
