The book “Al-Tadlis wal-Mudallisoon” by Sheikh Hammad Al-Ansari is a book on the sciences of hadith, in which the author collects one hundred and sixty-one narrators from the mudlisun, divided between agreed upon and disputed ones. The book begins by defining fraud in language and terminology, then explains its three sections: fraud in the chain of transmission, fraud in the sheikhs, and fraud in the settlement, with an explanation of the rulings of each section and the differences between scholars in it. The book aims to make this art easier for students of hadith at a time when those working in it were at a premium.
