The author aims to collect and document the names of narrators who became famous by the nickname “Abu Zar’ah,” following them in printed and manuscript books of nicknames. This is preceded by an introduction that deals with the types of nicknames and the most important works on them, with a distinction between the most famous people who used this nickname, namely Abu Zar’ah al-Razi and Abu Zar’ah al-Dimashqi.
