هذا كتاب في علوم الحديث، يتناول بالدراسة التاريخية نشأة تدوين السنة النبوية وتطوره عبر القرون، بدءًا من القرن الأول الهجري وحتى نهاية القرن التاسع. يستعرض المؤلف مكانة السنة في الإسلام وعناية السلف بها، وجهود الصحابة والتابعين في تدوينها، ثم يتتبع مراحل التطور في التدوين خلال القرنين الثاني والثالث الهجريين، مع التركيز على نماذج من المصنفات الحديثية كالمسانيد والكتب الستة.

Translation

This is a book on Hadith sciences, which deals with the historical study of the origins of the codification of the Prophet’s Sunnah and its development over the centuries, starting from the first century AH until the end of the ninth century. The author reviews the status of the Sunnah in Islam, the attention of the predecessors to it, and the efforts of the Companions and followers in codifying it. Then he traces the stages of development in codification during the second and third centuries AH, with a focus on examples of hadith works such as the Musnads and the Six Books.
