Translation

This book is a treatise on the science of wounding and modification, in which the author discusses the rule of prioritizing wounding over modification, and shows that this rule is not absolute. Rather, an exception is made from it for those whose Imamate and justice are proven, whose praise is many, and who are rarely hurtful to him, despite the presence of evidence indicating the fanaticism of the wounding person, so he should not pay attention to wounding against him. In this regard, the author relies on the statements of previous scholars, such as Ibn Abd al-Barr, and discusses the issue of scholars speaking to one another, specifying a criterion for distinguishing between acceptable criticism and others.
