Translation
A book on the science of recitation of the Holy Qur’an. It specializes in the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim, and collects a summary of what is in ancient works in a manner suitable for students. It begins with a historical introduction to Tajweed and recitations, then deals in detail with the origins of the letters and their characteristics, and the rulings on the noon sakinah, tanween, meem sakinah, madd, shortening, and haa of metonymy, with applied exercises. The author aims to approximate the rules of this art, relying on eloquent Arabic taste, while emphasizing the importance of the practical application of correct pronunciation.
