This book deals with issues of the matter in the principles of jurisprudence, reviewing Sheikh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah’s criticism of these issues in a collection of his fatwas. Al-Ruhaili focuses on Ibn Taymiyyah’s approach in criticizing fundamentalist rules, relying on an analysis of the issue of will to command and rule with a single action that is commanded and forbidden.
