Translation

Al-Ghazali’s book “Al-Mankhool Min Commentaries on Usul” deals with the topics of the principles of jurisprudence and jurisprudential rules, as it focuses on preparing the scientific principles necessary to understand the branches of jurisprudence and their applications. In this book, Al-Ghazali explains the nature of the three legal sciences: theology, principles, and jurisprudence, clarifying the sources and purpose of each. The book also addresses multiple issues in the principles of jurisprudence and the logical rules that help in deriving legal rulings, noting the importance of distinguishing between definitive evidence and assumptions in the science of principles.
