Translation

The book “Jama’ al-Ilm” by Al-Shafi’i deals with topics in the principles of jurisprudence and jurisprudential rules, focusing on the authenticity of prophetic news and the controls for accepting it. In this book, Al-Shafi’i presents the opinions of the various sects in confirming the news from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and explains the violations of some of them to the controls of legal reasoning, relying on the Qur’an and Sunnah as the basis of Islamic jurisprudence.
