Hadith 14,764Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي حَفْصَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِأَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ خَلَفٍ قِيلَ لَهُ هَلَكَ مَنْ لَمْ يُهَاجِرْ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَا أَصِلُ إِلَى أَهْلِي حَتَّى آتِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَكِبْتُ رَاحِلَتِي فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ زَعَمُوا أَنَّهُ هَلَكَ مَنْ لَمْ يُهَاجِرْ قَالَ كَلَّا أَبَا وَهْبٍ فَارْجِعْ إِلَى أَبَاطِحِ مَكَّةَ قَالَ فَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا رَاقِدٌ إِذْ جَاءَ السَّارِقُ فَأَخَذَ ثَوْبِي مِنْ تَحْتِ رَأْسِي فَأَدْرَكْتُهُ فَأَتَيْتُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ إِنَّ هَذَا سَرَقَ ثَوْبِي فَأَمَرَ بِهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُقْطَعَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ هَذَا أَرَدْتُ هُوَ عَلَيْهِ صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ فَهَلَّا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ
A spirit narrated to us, Muhammad bin Abi Hafsa narrated to us, Al-Zuhri narrated to us, on the authority of Safwan bin Abdullah bin Safwan, on the authority of his father, that Safwan Ibn Umayyah Ibn Khalaf was told, “Whoever does not emigrate is destroyed.” He said, “I will not reach my family until I go to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, so I rode.” I departed, so I came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I said, O Messenger of God, they claimed that those who did not emigrate had perished. He said, “No, Abu Wahb, so go back.” To the outskirts of Mecca. He said: While I was lying down, the thief came and took my dress from under my head. I caught it and brought it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: This man stole my dress, so he, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered it to be cut off. He said, I said, O Messenger of God, this is not what I wanted. He owed charity. He said, “So come before you bring it to me.”
Hadith 14,765Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ عَنْ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَأَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَإِنَّهُ لَأَبْغَضُ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ فَمَا زَالَ يُعْطِينِي حَتَّى صَارَ وَإِنَّهُ أَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ
Zakaria bin Adi told us, on the authority of Ibn Al-Mubarak, on the authority of Yunus, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Sa’id bin Al-Musayyab, on the authority of Safwan bin Umayyah. He said: Al-Aatani The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, on the day of Hunayn, and he was the most hated of people to me. He continued to give me until now, and he was the most beloved of people to me.
Hadith 14,766Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ مُرَقَّعٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَأَنَّ رَجُلًا سَرَقَ بُرْدَهُ فَرَفَعَهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ تَجَاوَزْتُ عَنْهُ قَالَ فَلَوْلَا كَانَ هَذَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ يَا أَبَا وَهْبٍ فَقَطَعَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Muhammad bin Ja’far told us, Sa’id, meaning Ibn Abi Arouba, told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Ata’, on the authority of Tariq bin Murqa’, on the authority of Safwan bin Umayyah said that a man stole his cloak, so he took it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he ordered it to be cut. He said, “O Messenger of God, I have neglected him.” He said Had this not happened before you brought it to me, O Abu Wahb, then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, cut it off.
Hadith 14,767Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَأَنَّهُ قِيلَ لَهُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ هَاجَرَ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ لَا أَدْخُلُ مَنْزِلِي حَتَّى آتِيَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَسْأَلَهُ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ هَذَا سَرَقَ خَمِيصَةً لِي لِرَجُلٍ مَعَهُ فَأَمَرَ بِقَطْعِهِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَإِنِّي قَدْ وَهَبْتُهَا لَهُ قَالَ فَهَلَّا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَأْتِيَنِي بِهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ هَاجَرَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا هِجْرَةَ بَعْدَ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ وَلَكِنْ جِهَادٌ وَنِيَّةٌ فَإِذَا اسْتُنْفِرْتُمْ فَانْفِرُوا
Affan narrated to us, Wahib narrated to us, Ibn Tawus narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Safwan bin Umayyah, that he was told: “No one will enter Paradise except one who Hajar said, “So I said, ‘I will not enter my house until I go to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and ask him.’ So I came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and I said, ‘O Messenger of God, this man stole a khamis of mine for a man who was with him, so he ordered it to be cut off. I said, O Messenger of God, I have given it to him. He said, “So come before that.” Bring him to me. He said, “O Messenger of God, they say that no one will enter Paradise except one who emigrates.” So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “No.” Migration after the conquest of Mecca, but it is jihad and intention, so if you are mobilized, mobilize.
Hadith 14,768Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي النَّهْدِيَّ عَنْ عَامِرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الطَّاعُونُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْغَرَقُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالْبَطْنُ شَهَادَةٌ وَالنُّفَسَاءُ شَهَادَةٌ
Yazid bin Harun told us, he said: Suleiman told us, meaning Al-Taymi, on the authority of Abu Uthman, meaning Al-Nahdi, on the authority of Amer, meaning Ibn Malik, on the authority of Safwan. Ibn Umayyah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The plague is testimony, drowning is testimony, the stomach is testimony, and childbirth is testimony.
Hadith 14,769Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَقَالَ الطَّاعُونُ وَالْبَطْنُ وَالْغَرَقُ وَالنُّفَسَاءُ شَهَادَةٌقَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا بِهِ يَعْنِي أَبَا عُثْمَانَ مِرَارًا وَرَفَعَهُ مَرَّةً إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
Muhammad ibn Abi Adi told us, on the authority of Suleiman, on the authority of Abu Uthman, on the authority of Aamir ibn Malik, on the authority of Safwan ibn Umayyah, who said: “The plague, the stomach, and drowning.” Childbirth is a testimony. Suleiman, meaning Abu Uthman, told us about it several times, and once referred it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ قَالَ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَرَآنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا آخُذُ اللَّحْمَ عَنْ الْعَظْمِ بِيَدِي فَقَالَ يَا صَفْوَانُ قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ قَالَ قَرِّبْ اللَّحْمَ مِنْ فِيكَ فَإِنَّهُ أَهْنَأُ وَأَمْرَأُ
Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, Abdul Rahman bin Ishaq told us, on the authority of Abdul Rahman bin Muawiyah, on the authority of Uthman bin Abi Suleiman, he said Safwan bin Umayyah said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saw me taking the meat from the bone with my hand, and he said, O Safwan, I said, “Here you are.” Bring the meat close to you, for it is tastier and more juicy.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يَأْتِينِي الرَّجُلُ يَسْأَلُنِي الْبَيْعَ لَيْسَ عِنْدِي مَا أَبِيعُهُ ثُمَّ أَبِيعُهُ مِنْ السُّوقِ فَقَالَ لَا تَبِعْ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ
Hushaym bin Bashir told us, on the authority of Abu Bishr, Ja’far bin Iyas, on the authority of Yusuf bin Mahak, on the authority of Hakim bin Hazzam, I said, O Messenger of God A man comes to me and asks me to sell. I have nothing to sell. Then I sell him in the market. He said, “Do not sell what you do not have.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَبَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَنْ لَا أَخِرَّ إِلَّا قَائِمًا قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الرَّجُلُ يَسْأَلُنِي الْبَيْعَ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي أَفَأَبِيعُهُ قَالَ لَا تَبِعْ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Bishr, on the authority of Yusuf ibn Mahak, he narrated on the authority of Hakim ibn Hazzam, “I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of God.” May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, on the condition that I will not leave anyone else standing except those standing. He said, “O Messenger of God, the man is asking me for a sale, but I do not have it. Should I sell it?” He said, “Do not sell what I have.” You don't have it
Hadith 14,774Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَنَهَانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أَبِيعَ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدِي قَالَ أَيُّوبُ أَوْ قَالَ سِلْعَةً لَيْسَتْ عِنْدِي
Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, Ayyub told us, on the authority of Yusuf bin Mahik, on the authority of Hakim bin Hazzam, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: And he granted me to sell what I do not have, Ayoub said, or he said, a commodity that I do not have.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ يُطْلَبُ مِنِّي الْمَتَاعُ وَلَيْسَ عِنْدِي أَفَأَبِيعُهُ لَهُ قَالَ لَا تَبِعْ مَا لَيْسَ عِنْدَكَ
Yahya bin Adam told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, Abu Bishr told us, on the authority of Yusuf bin Mahik, on the authority of Hakim bin Hazzam, I said, O Messenger of God He asks me for some belongings and I don’t have them. Should I sell them to him? He said, “Don’t sell what you don’t have.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ يَعْنِي الدَّسْتُوَائِيَّ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ رَجُلٍ أَنَّ يُوسُفَ بْنَ مَاهَكَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَصْمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَشْتَرِي بُيُوعًا فَمَا يَحِلُّ لِي مِنْهَا وَمَا يُحَرَّمُ عَلَيَّ قَالَ فَإِذَا اشْتَرَيْتَ بَيْعًا فَلَا تَبِعْهُ حَتَّى تَقْبِضَهُ
Yahya bin Saeed told us, Hisham, meaning Al-Dastawi, told us, Yahya bin Abi Katheer told us, on the authority of a man, that Yusuf bin Mahek told him That Abdullah bin Asmah told him that Hakim bin Hazzam told him, “I said, O Messenger of God, I buy merchandise, whatever is permissible for me of it and what It is forbidden for me. He said, “If you buy something, do not sell it until you receive it.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ أُمُورًا كُنْتُ أَتَحَنَّثُ بِهَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ مِنْ عَتَاقَةٍ وَصِلَةِ رَحِمٍ هَلْ لِي فِيهَا أَجْرٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَسْلَمْتَ عَلَى مَا أَسْلَفْتَ مِنْ خَيْرٍ
Abd al-Razzaq told us, Muammar told us, on the authority of al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa ibn al-Zubayr, on the authority of Hakim ibn Hazzam, who said: I said, O Messenger of God, have you seen matters? I used to swear by her during the pre-Islamic era, regarding her freedom and family ties. Will I have a reward for her? Then the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to him: “I have embraced Islam for what you have done.” You have done well
Hadith 14,780Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ أُمُورًا كُنْتُ أَتَحَنَّثُ بِهَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَقَالَ أَسْلَمْتَ عَلَى مَا أَسْلَفْتَ وَالتَّحَنُّثُ التَّعَبُّدُ
Uthman bin Umar told us, Yunus told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Urwa, that Hakim bin Hazzam told him, “I said, ‘O Messenger of God, have you seen matters? I was practicing my oaths during the pre-Islamic period, and he said, “I have converted to Islam according to what I said, and oaths are acts of worship.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِ أَبِي بِخَطِّ يَدِهِ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍأَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الصَّدَقَاتِ أَيُّهَا أَفْضَلُ قَالَ عَلَى ذِي الرَّحِمِ الْكَاشِحِ
Abdullah told us, saying: I found in my father’s book in his own handwriting. Sa’id, meaning Ibn Sulayman, told us, Abbad, meaning Ibn al-Awwam, told us, on the authority of Sufyan. Ibn Husayn, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ayyub Ibn Bashir Al-Ansari, on the authority of Hakim Ibn Hizam, that a man asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, about “Alms, oh you are better,” he said, “about the one with open ties of kinship.”
Hadith 14,783Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ أَبِي الْخَلِيلِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْبَيِّعَانِ بِالْخِيَارِ مَا لَمْ يَتَفَرَّقَا فَإِنْ صَدَقَا وَبَيَّنَا بُورِكَ لَهُمَا فِي بَيْعِهِمَا وَإِنْ كَذَبَا وَكَتَمَا مُحِقَتْ بَرَكَةُ بَيْعِهِمَا
Affan told us, Hammad bin Salama told us, Qatada told us, on the authority of Abu Al-Khalil, on the authority of Abdullah bin Al-Harith bin Nawfal, on the authority of Hakim bin Hizam, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The two sellers are at option as long as they do not separate. If they are honest and explain it, they will be blessed in their sale.” And if they lie and conceal it, the blessing of their sale will be voided.

حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ مُبَارَكٍ أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ قَالَكَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَبَّ رَجُلٍ فِي النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَلَمَّا تَنَبَّأَ وَخَرَجَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ شَهِدَ حَكِيمُ بْنُ حِزَامٍ الْمَوْسِمَ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَوَجَدَ حُلَّةً لِذِي يَزَنَ تُبَاعُ فَاشْتَرَاهَا بِخَمْسِينَ دِينَارًا لِيُهْدِيَهَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَدِمَ بِهَا عَلَيْهِ الْمَدِينَةَ فَأَرَادَهُ عَلَى قَبْضِهَا هَدِيَّةً فَأَبَى قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ حَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ إِنَّا لَا نَقْبَلُ شَيْئًا مِنْ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَلَكِنْ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَخَذْنَاهَا بِالثَّمَنِ فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ حِينَ أَبَى عَلَيَّ الْهَدِيَّةَ

Ubayd Allah said, “I thought he said, ‘We do not accept anything.’” Of the polytheists, but if you wish, we can take it for the price, so I gave it to him when he refused to give me the gift.
Hadith 14,790Musnad Ahmad
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ حِزَامٍأَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِأُنَاسٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ قَدْ أُقِيمُوا فِي الشَّمْسِ بِالشَّامِ فَقَالَ مَا هَؤُلَاءِ قَالُوا بَقِيَ عَلَيْهِمْ شَيْءٌ مِنْ الْخَرَاجِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَشْهَدُ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُعَذِّبُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الَّذِينَ يُعَذِّبُونَ النَّاسَقَالَ وَأَمِيرُ النَّاسِ يَوْمَئِذٍ عُمَيْرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَلَى فِلَسْطِينَ قَالَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ فَحَدَّثَهُ فَخَلَّى سَبِيلَهُمْ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِالشَّامِ عَلَى قَوْمٍ مِنْ الْأَنْبَاطِ وَقَدْ أُقِيمُوا فِي الشَّمْسِ فَذَكَرَ مَعْنَاهُ
Waki` narrated to us, Hisham bin Urwa narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Ibn Hizam, that he passed by people of the people of the Dhimmah who had resided in the sun in the Levant. So he said, “What are these people?” They said, “Some of the tax remains on them.” He said, “I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say that God is Mighty.” And glory be to Him, on the Day of Resurrection, He will punish those who torture the hermits, and the leader of the people on that day will be Umayr bin Saad over Palestine. He said, “So he entered upon him and spoke to him, and he left.” Their path, Ibn Numayr told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Hisham bin Hakim, that he passed through the Levant upon a people of the Nabataeans, and he They were placed in the sun, so its meaning was mentioned

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَهِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ أَنَّهُمَا حَدَّثَاهُ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِأَنَّ هِشَامَ بْنَ حَكِيمٍ رَأَى نَاسًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الذِّمَّةِ قِيَامًا فِي الشَّمْسِ فَقَالَ مَا هَؤُلَاءِ فَقَالُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْجِزْيَةِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَى عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَكَانَ عَلَى طَائِفَةِ الشَّامِ فَقَالَ هِشَامٌ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ عَذَّبَ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا عَذَّبَهُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَىفَقَالَ عُمَيْرٌ خَلُّوا عَنْهُمْ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ حَدَّثَنِي شُرَيْحُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ وَغَيْرُهُ قَالَجَلَدَ عِيَاضُ بْنُ غَنْمٍ صَاحِبَ دَارِيَا حِينَ فُتِحَتْ فَأَغْلَظَ لَهُ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْقَوْلَ حَتَّى غَضِبَ عِيَاضٌ ثُمَّ مَكَثَ لَيَالِيَ فَأَتَاهُ هِشَامُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ فَاعْتَذَرَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ هِشَامٌ لِعِيَاضٍ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مِنْ أَشَدِّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا أَشَدَّهُمْ عَذَابًا فِي الدُّنْيَا لِلنَّاسِ فَقَالَ عِيَاضُ بْنُ غَنْمٍ يَا هِشَامُ بْنَ حَكِيمٍ قَدْ سَمِعْنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ وَرَأَيْنَا مَا رَأَيْتَ أَوَلَمْ تَسْمَعْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَحَ لِسُلْطَانٍ بِأَمْرٍ فَلَا يُبْدِ لَهُ عَلَانِيَةً وَلَكِنْ لِيَأْخُذْ بِيَدِهِ فَيَخْلُوَ بِهِ فَإِنْ قَبِلَ مِنْهُ فَذَاكَ وَإِلَّا كَانَ قَدْ أَدَّى الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ لَهُوَإِنَّكَ يَا هِشَامُ لَأَنْتَ الْجَرِيءُ إِذْ تَجْتَرِئُ عَلَى سُلْطَانِ اللَّهِ فَهَلَّا خَشِيتَ أَنْ يَقْتُلَكَ السُّلْطَانُ فَتَكُونَ قَتِيلَ سُلْطَانِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى
Abu Al-Mughirah narrated to us, Safwan narrated to us, Shurayh bin Ubaid Al-Hadrami and others narrated to me, Al-Jalad Iyad bin Ghanam, the owner of Daraya when it was conquered, narrated to me. Then Hisham bin Hakim spoke harshly to him until Iyadh became angry. Then he stayed for several nights, and Hisham bin Hakim came to him and apologized to him, then he said: Hisham Iyad: Did you not hear the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say that among the people who are most tormented is the one who has the most severe torment in this world for people? Iyad bin Sheep, O Hisham bin Hakim, we have heard what you heard and we have seen what you saw. Have you not heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, “Whoever wants to He advises a ruler about a matter, so he should not reveal it publicly, but rather take him by the hand and be alone with him. If he accepts from him, then so be it. Otherwise, he has done what he did. Because you, Hisham, are bold when you dare to challenge the authority of God. Why were you not afraid that the authority would kill you and you would be the one killed by the authority? God Blessed and Most High
