حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا سَلَمَةَ حَدَّثَهُمْأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْ أَحَدَكُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ فَلْيَقُلْ{ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ }اللَّهُمَّ عِنْدَكَ أَحْتَسِبُ مُصِيبَتِي فَأْجُرْنِي فِيهَا وَأَبْدِلْنِي بِهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَافَلَمَّا قُبِضَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ خَلَفَنِي اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي أَهْلِي خَيْرًا مِنْهُ

A spirit told us, he said, Hammad bin Salamah told us, on the authority of Thabit, he said, Ibn Umar told me, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Umm Salamah, that Abu Salamah told them that The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: If a calamity befalls one of you, let him say, “Indeed, to God we belong, and to Him we shall return,” O God, with You. I consider my calamity, so reward me for it and exchange me for it better than it. When Abu Salamah was arrested, God Almighty left me with my family better than him.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ عَمْرٍو يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي عَمْرٍو عَنْ الْمُطَّلِبِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْأَتَانِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَوْمًا مِنْ عِنْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْلًا فَسُرِرْتُ بِهِ قَالَ لَا تُصِيبُ أَحَدًا مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مُصِيبَةٌ فَيَسْتَرْجِعَ عِنْدَ مُصِيبَتِهِ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَاخْلُفْ لِي خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِلَّا فُعِلَ ذَلِكَ بِهِ قَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَحَفِظْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ فَلَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ اسْتَرْجَعْتُ وَقُلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ أْجُرْنِي فِي مُصِيبَتِي وَاخْلُفْنِي خَيْرًا مِنْهُ ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ إِلَى نَفْسِي قُلْتُ مِنْ أَيْنَ لِي خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ فَلَمَّا انْقَضَتْ عِدَّتِي اسْتَأْذَنَ عَلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا أَدْبُغُ إِهَابًا لِي فَغَسَلْتُ يَدَيَّ مِنْ الْقَرَظِ وَأَذِنْتُ لَهُ فَوَضَعْتُ لَهُ وِسَادَةَ أَدَمٍ حَشْوُهَا لِيفٌ فَقَعَدَ عَلَيْهَا فَخَطَبَنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ مِنْ مَقَالَتِهِ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا بِي أَنْ لَا تَكُونَ بِكَ الرَّغْبَةُ فِيَّ وَلَكِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ فِيَّ غَيْرَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ فَأَخَافُ أَنْ تَرَى مِنِّي شَيْئًا يُعَذِّبُنِي اللَّهُ بِهِ وَأَنَا امْرَأَةٌ دَخَلْتُ فِي السِّنِّ وَأَنَا ذَاتُ عِيَالٍ فَقَالَ أَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتِ مِنْ الْغَيْرَةِ فَسَوْفَ يُذْهِبُهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْكِ وَأَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتِ مِنْ السِّنِّ فَقَدْ أَصَابَنِي مِثْلُ الَّذِي أَصَابَكِ وَأَمَّا مَا ذَكَرْتِ مِنْ الْعِيَالِ فَإِنَّمَا عِيَالُكِ عِيَالِي قَالَتْ فَقَدْ سَلَّمْتُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَتَزَوَّجَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَفَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ فَقَدْ أَبْدَلَنِي اللَّهُ بِأَبِي سَلَمَةَ خَيْرًا مِنْهُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Yunus narrated to us, saying: Laith narrated to us, meaning Ibn Saad, on the authority of Yazid bin Abdullah bin Usama bin Al-Had, on the authority of Amr, meaning Ibn Abi Amr. On the authority of Al-Muttalib, on the authority of Umm Salamah, she said: Abu Salamah came to me one day from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “I heard from the Messenger of God May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said a statement that I was pleased with. He said, “Let no calamity befall any of the Muslims, so that he will be restored when his calamity befalls him.” Then he says, “O God.” Reward me in my affliction and give me something better than it, unless that is done to him. Umm Salamah said, so I preserved that from him. When Abu Salamah died, I took it back. And I said, “O God, reward me for my calamity and give me something better than him.” Then I returned to myself and said, “Where can I get someone better than Abu Salamah?” When my waiting period was over, The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, asked permission for me while I was tanning my skin, so I washed my hands of the stubble and gave him permission, and I placed a human pillow for him. It was stuffed with fiber, and he sat on it and proposed to me. When he finished speaking to me, I said, O Messenger of God, what is wrong with me that you do not have a desire for me? But I am a woman who is very jealous, so I fear that she will see something in me that God will punish me with, and I am a woman who has reached old age and I have children. He said As for the jealousy you mentioned, God Almighty will remove it from you. As for the age you mentioned, the same thing has befallen me as it befell you. As for the children you mentioned, your children are my children. She said, “I submitted to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, married her.” May God bless him and grant him peace. Umm Salamah said, “God has replaced me with Abu Salamah better than him, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.”

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ وَابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو طَلْحَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ

Abu Muawiyah told us, Hajjaj and Ibn Abi Zaida told us, Hajjaj told us, on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Saad, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said, “Inform me.” Abu Talha: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, combined Hajj and Umrah

و قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ يَقُولُسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا تَدْخُلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ كَلْبٌ وَلَا صُورَةُ تَمَاثِيلَ

And Abdul Razzaq said: Muammar told us on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: Ubayd Allah ibn Abdullah ibn Utba informed me that he heard Ibn Abbas say: I heard Abu Talha said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or any image of statues.

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَلَمَّا صَبَّحَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَدْ أَخَذُوا مَسَاحِيَهُمْ وَغَدَوْا إِلَى حُرُوثِهِمْ وَأَرْضِهِمْ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهُ الْجَيْشُ رَكَضُوا مُدْبِرِينَ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ

A spirit narrated to us, Sa’id bin Abi Arouba narrated to us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, on the authority of Abu Talha, who said, “When the morning rose, the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, He surrendered Khaybar, and they took their surveyors and went to their fields and land. When they saw the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, the army was with him. They ran, retreating, and the Prophet of God said, “God is the greatest, God is the greatest.” When we camp in a people’s square, the morning of those who have been warned will be broken.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنِ الْأَغَرِّ عَنْ رَجُلٍ آخَرَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَوَضَّئُوا مِمَّا غَيَّرَتْ النَّارُو قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَفْصٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ فَقَالَ وَثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِثْلِهِ

Abd al-Samad narrated to us, saying: Shu`bah narrated to us, saying: Abu Bakr bin Hafs narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Gharr, on the authority of another man, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet prayed May God bless him and grant him peace. He said: “Perform ablution from what has been changed by the fire.” Abu Bakr said, meaning Ibn Hafs. He said: Al-Zuhri told us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Talha, on the authority of His father, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, narrated something similar, and he said, Shu’bah discouraged us, on the authority of Al-A’mash, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. May peace and blessings be upon him

حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ فِي تَفْسِيرِ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَصَبَّحَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَدْ أَخَذُوا مَسَاحِيَهُمْ وَغَدَوْا إِلَى حُرُوثِهِمْ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهُ الْجَيْشُ نَكَصُوا مُدْبِرِينَ فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ قَالَحَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَوْلَهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ{ فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ }قَالَ حَدَّثَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ صَبَّحَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْبَرَ فَذَكَرَ مِثْلَهُ

Husayn narrated to us in the interpretation of Shayban, on the authority of Qatada, he said, Anas bin Malik narrated on the authority of Abu Talha, who said, “In the morning, the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” Khaybar, and they had taken their surveyors and set out for their fields. When they saw the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, with the army, they retreated, retreating. He said: The Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. God is the greatest. God is the greatest. Khaybar was destroyed. When we camped in a people’s square, the morning of those who had been warned would be bad. Yunus told us, Shayban told us, on the authority of Qatada, the Almighty said: {And when he descends in their square, it will be good for the morning of those who have been warned.} He said: Anas narrated Ibn Malik, on the authority of Abu Talha, he said, “The morning of the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was Khaybar,” and he mentioned something like it.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَيَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَدْخُلُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ صُورَةٌ وَلَا كَلْبٌ

Sufyan bin Uyaynah told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Ubayd Allah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of Abu Talha, conveying it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: Angels do not enter a house in which there is an image or a dog.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنِي أَبُو طَلْحَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ حَجَّةٍ وَعُمْرَةٍ

Yahya bin Zakaria bin Abi Zaida told us. Hajjaj told us on the authority of Al-Hasan bin Saad on the authority of Ibn Abbas. He said: Abu informed me Talha said that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, combined Hajj and Umrah.

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا غَلَبَ قَوْمًا أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا

Muadh bin Muadh told us, he said, Saeed bin Abi Arouba told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, on the authority of Abu Talha, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace Peace and blessings of God be upon him, when he defeated a people he liked to stand by their side three times.

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ وَحُسَيْنٌ فِي تَفْسِيرِ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ أَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ قَالَغَشِيَنَا النُّعَاسُ وَنَحْنُ فِي مَصَافِّنَا يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ قَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ وَكُنْتُ فِيمَنْ غَشِيَهُ النُّعَاسُ يَوْمَئِذٍ فَجَعَلَ سَيْفِي يَسْقُطُ مِنْ يَدِي وَآخُذُهُ وَيَسْقُطُ وَآخُذُهُ

Yunus narrated to us, Shayban and Husayn narrated to us in Shayban’s interpretation on the authority of Qatada, he said, Anas bin Malik narrated to us that Abu Talha spoke to us. We fell asleep while we were in our ranks on the day of Badr. Abu Talha said: I was among those who fell asleep on that day, and it made my sword fall from my hand, and I took it and it fell. And I take it

They retreated, retreating, and the Prophet of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said, “God is great, God is great. When we camped in a people’s place, it was a bad morning for those who had been warned. }

حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ وَكَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ قَالَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُحْسِنْ إِلَى جَارِهِ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ

Ruh ibn Ubadah narrated to us, saying: Zakaria ibn Ishaq narrated to us, saying: Amr ibn Dinar narrated to us, on the authority of Nafi’ ibn Jubayr ibn Mut’im, on the authority of Abu Shurayh Al-Khuza’i, and he had a company, said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: Whoever believes in God and the Last Day Let him honor his guest, and whoever believes in God and the Last Day let him do good to his neighbor, and whoever believes in God and the Last Day let him say good to his neighbor. Good or to be silent

حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَجَائِزَتُهُ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِلرَّجُلِ أَنْ يُقِيمَ عِنْدَ أَحَدٍ حَتَّى يُؤْثِمَهُ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَكَيْفَ يُؤْثِمُهُ قَالَ يُقِيمُ عِنْدَهُ وَلَيْسَ لَهُ شَيْءٌ يَقْرِيهِ

Waki’ narrated to us, Abd al-Hamid bin Ja’far narrated to us, on the authority of Sa’id bin Abi Sa’id al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Shurayh al-Khuza’i, who said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said May God bless him and grant him peace. Hospitality is for three days, and its reward is one day and a night. It is not permissible for a man to stay with anyone until he commits a sin against him. They said, O Messenger. By God, how can he make him guilty? He said, “He stays with him and has nothing to feed him.”

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدٌ يَعْنِي الْمَقْبُرِيَّ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْعَدَوِيِّأَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدٍ وَهُوَ يَبْعَثُ الْبُعُوثَ إِلَى مَكَّةَ ائْذَنْ لِي أَيُّهَا الْأَمِيرُ أُحَدِّثْكَ قَوْلًا قَامَ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْغَدَ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْفَتْحِ سَمِعَتْهُ أُذُنَايَ وَوَعَاهُ قَلْبِي وَأَبْصَرَتْهُ عَيْنَايَ حِينَ تَكَلَّمَ بِهِ أَنْ حَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ مَكَّةَ حَرَّمَهَا اللَّهُ وَلَمْ يُحَرِّمْهَا النَّاسُ فَلَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ يَسْفِكَ بِهَا دَمًا وَلَا يَعْضِدَ بِهَا شَجَرَةً فَإِنْ أَحَدٌ تَرَخَّصَ لِقِتَالِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهَا فَقُولُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَذِنَ لِرَسُولِهِ وَلَمْ يَأْذَنْ لَكُمْ إِنَّمَا أَذِنَ لِي فِيهَا سَاعَةً مِنْ نَهَارٍ وَقَدْ عَادَتْ حُرْمَتُهَا الْيَوْمَ كَحُرْمَتِهَا بِالْأَمْسِ وَلْيُبَلِّغْ الشَّاهِدُ الْغَائِبَ

Hajjaj narrated to us, saying: Laith narrated to us, saying: Saeed narrated to me, meaning Al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Shurayh Al-Adawi that he said to Amr bin Saeed, and he An envoy is sent to Mecca. Permit me, O prince. I will narrate to you a statement that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did tomorrow from the day of the conquest. My ears heard it, my heart understood it, and my eyes saw it when he spoke it. He praised God and praised Him, then he said that Mecca was sacred to God, but He did not People make it forbidden, so it is not permissible for a person who believes in God and the Last Day to shed blood with it or to support a tree with it, for anyone has permitted it. To fight the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, therein, so say that God Almighty has given permission to His Messenger, but he has not given you permission. Rather, he has given me permission for an hour of it. During the day, her sanctity today has become as sacred as it was yesterday, and let the absent witness be informed.

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْعَدَوِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَسَمِعَتْ أُذُنَايَ وَأَبْصَرَتْ عَيْنَايَ حِينَ تَكَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ جَارَهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيُكْرِمْ ضَيْفَهُ جَائِزَتَهُ قَالُوا وَمَا جَائِزَتُهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ وَالضِّيَافَةُ ثَلَاثٌ فَمَا كَانَ وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ صَدَقَةٌ عَلَيْهِ وَقَالَ مَنْ كَانَ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ فَلْيَقُلْ خَيْرًا أَوْ لِيَصْمُتْ وَقَالَ أَبُو كَامِلٍ وَلَا يَثْوِي عِنْدَهُ حَتَّى يُحْرِجَهُ

They said, “What is your reward, O Messenger of God?” He said, “A day and a night.” Hospitality is three things, and whatever is beyond that is charity for him. And he said, “Whoever believes in God and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent.” Abu Kamil said: He will not stay with him until he embarrasses him.

Or he takes the mind or is negligent, and if he wants a fourth time, then take his hands. If he does any of that and then comes back again and is killed, then for him is the Fire, wherein he will abide forever. Immortal

حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ يُونُسَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَحَدِ بَنِي سَعْدِ بْنِ بَكْرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّ ثُمَّ الْكَعْبِيَّ وَكَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُأَذِنَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فِي قِتَالِ بَنِي بَكْرٍ حَتَّى أَصَبْنَا مِنْهُمْ ثَأْرَنَا وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِرَفْعِ السَّيْفِ فَلَقِيَ رَهْطٌ مِنَّا الْغَدَ رَجُلًا مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ فِي الْحَرَمِ يَؤُمُّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيُسْلِمَ وَكَانَ قَدْ وَتَرَهُمْ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَكَانُوا يَطْلُبُونَهُ فَقَتَلُوهُ وَبَادَرُوا أَنْ يَخْلُصَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَيَأْمَنَ فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَضِبَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ غَضِبَ غَضَبًا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُ فَسَعَيْنَا إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ وَعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ نَسْتَشْفِعُهُمْ وَخَشِينَا أَنْ نَكُونَ قَدْ هَلَكْنَا فَلَمَّا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ فَأَثْنَى عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَمَّا بَعْدُ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ هُوَ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ وَلَمْ يُحَرِّمْهَا النَّاسُ وَإِنَّمَا أَحَلَّهَا لِي سَاعَةً مِنْ النَّهَارِ أَمْسِ وَهِيَ الْيَوْمَ حَرَامٌ كَمَا حَرَّمَهَا اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَإِنَّ أَعْتَى النَّاسِ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ ثَلَاثَةٌ رَجُلٌ قَتَلَ فِيهَا وَرَجُلٌ قَتَلَ غَيْرَ قَاتِلِهِ وَرَجُلٌ طَلَبَ بِذَحْلٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ وَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ لَأَدِيَنَّ هَذَا الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي قَتَلْتُمْ فَوَدَاهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Wahb bin Jarir narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to me, saying: I heard Yunus narrating on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Muslim bin Yazid, one of the sons of Saad bin Bakr. He heard Abu Shurayh Al-Khuza’i and then Al-Kaabi, who was one of the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying, “The Messenger of God has given us permission.” On the day of the conquest, in the fight against Banu Bakr, until we were wounded by them, we took revenge while he was in Mecca. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered the sword to be raised. Tomorrow, a group of us met a man from Hudhayl in the sanctuary, leading the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to say the salaam. He had been with them in pre-Islamic times. They were looking for him, so they killed him, and they hastened for him to go to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, so that he would be safe. When that was reported to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, He, peace and blessings be upon him, became very angry, and by God, I have never seen him get more angry than him. So we went to Abu Bakr, Omar, and Ali, may God be pleased with them. We asked for their intercession, and we feared that we had perished. When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed, he stood up and praised God Almighty for what He was. His family, then he said, “And now, God Almighty made Mecca sacred, and the people did not make it unlawful. Rather, He made it lawful for me for an hour of the day yesterday, which is It is forbidden today, just as God Almighty made it forbidden the first time, and the most cruel people towards God Almighty are three: a man who killed in it, and a man who killed someone other than his killer. And a man asked for a sacrifice in pre-Islamic times, and by God I will condemn this man whom you killed, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ransomed him.

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي شُرَيْحٍ الْخُزَاعِيِّ قَالَلَمَّا بَعَثَ عَمْرُو بْنُ سَعِيدٍ إِلَى مَكَّةَ بَعْثَهُ يَغْزُو ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ أَتَاهُ أَبُو شُرَيْحٍ فَكَلَّمَهُ وَأَخْبَرَهُ بِمَا سَمِعَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ إِلَى نَادِي قَوْمِهِ فَجَلَسَ فِيهِ فَقُمْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَجَلَسْتُ مَعَهُ فَحَدَّثَ قَوْمَهُ كَمَا حَدَّثَ عَمْرَو بْنَ سَعِيدٍ مَا سَمِعَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَعَمَّا قَالَ لَهُ عَمْرُو بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ هَذَا إِنَّا كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ مَكَّةَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ الْغَدُ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْفَتْحِ عَدَتْ خُزَاعَةُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ هُذَيْلٍ فَقَتَلُوهُ وَهُوَ مُشْرِكٌ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِينَا خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَرَّمَ مَكَّةَ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فَهِيَ حَرَامٌ مِنْ حَرَامِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ أَنْ يَسْفِكَ فِيهَا دَمًا وَلَا يَعْضِدَ بِهَا شَجَرًا لَمْ تَحْلِلْ لِأَحَدٍ كَانَ قَبْلِي وَلَا تَحِلُّ لِأَحَدٍ يَكُونُ بَعْدِي وَلَمْ تَحْلِلْ لِي إِلَّا هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ غَضَبًا عَلَى أَهْلِهَا أَلَا ثُمَّ قَدْ رَجَعَتْ كَحُرْمَتِهَا بِالْأَمْسِ أَلَا فَلْيُبَلِّغْ الشَّاهِدُ مِنْكُمْ الْغَائِبَ فَمَنْ قَالَ لَكُمْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ قَاتَلَ بِهَا فَقُولُوا إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ قَدْ أَحَلَّهَا لِرَسُولِهِ وَلَمْ يُحْلِلْهَا لَكُمْ يَا مَعْشَرَ خُزَاعَةَ وَارْفَعُوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ عَنْ الْقَتْلِ فَقَدْ كَثُرَ أَنْ يَقَعَ لَئِنْ قَتَلْتُمْ قَتِيلًا لَأَدِيَنَّهُ فَمَنْ قُتِلَ بَعْدَ مَقَامِي هَذَا فَأَهْلُهُ بِخَيْرِ النَّظَرَيْنِ إِنْ شَاءُوا فَدَمُ قَاتِلِهِ وَإِنْ شَاءُوا فَعَقْلُهُ ثُمَّ وَدَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرَّجُلَ الَّذِي قَتَلَتْهُ خُزَاعَةُ فَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ سَعِيدٍ لِأَبِي شُرَيْحٍ انْصَرِفْ أَيُّهَا الشَّيْخُ فَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِحُرْمَتِهَا مِنْكَ إِنَّهَا لَا تَمْنَعُ سَافِكَ دَمٍ وَلَا خَالِعَ طَاعَةٍ وَلَا مَانِعَ جِزْيَةٍ قَالَ فَقُلْتُ قَدْ كُنْتُ شَاهِدًا وَكُنْتَ غَائِبًا وَقَدْ بَلَّغْتُ وَقَدْ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُبَلِّغَ شَاهِدُنَا غَائِبَنَا وَقَدْ بَلَّغْتُكَ فَأَنْتَ وَشَأْنُكَ

Ya’qub told us, he said, my father told us, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, he said, Sa’id bin Abi Sa’id al-Maqbari told me, on the authority of Abu Shurayh al-Khuza’i, he said: When he was sent Amr bin Saeed went to Mecca and sent him to fight against Ibn al-Zubayr. Abu Shurayh came to him and spoke to him and told him what he had heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He greeted him, then went out to his people’s club and sat there. I went up to him and sat with him, and he narrated to his people just as Amr bin Saeed narrated what he heard from the Messenger of God. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and what Amr bin Sa’id said to him: I said this because we were with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, when he conquered Mecca. When the next day came, the day of the conquest, Khuza’ah attacked a man from Hudhayl and killed him. He was a polytheist, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, rose up. There was a preacher among us, and he said, O people, God Almighty made Mecca sacred on the day He created the heavens and the earth, so it is one of the forbidden things of God Almighty to this day. On the Resurrection, it is not permissible for a person who believes in God and the Last Day to shed blood therein, nor to plant therein trees that are not permissible for anyone. Before me, and it is not lawful for anyone after me, and it was not lawful for me except this hour, out of anger at its people, and then it has returned as sacred as it was yesterday. Indeed, let the witness among you inform the absent person. Whoever tells you that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, fought with it, say that God Almighty has He made it lawful for His Messenger and did not make it lawful for you, O people of Khuza’ah, and raise your hands from killing, for it has often happened, if you kill a person. I will certainly condemn him. So whoever is killed after I stand here, his family will have the best of both worlds. If they wish, then the blood of his killer, and if they wish, then his brains. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, paid sacrifice. May God bless him and grant him peace, the man who was killed by Khuza’ah. Amr bin Sa’id said to Abu Shurayh: Go away, O Sheikh, for we know that it is sacred to you. It does not prevent one who sheds blood, nor one who performs obedience, nor one who withholds tribute. He said, “I said, ‘I was a witness and you were absent,’ and I have conveyed the message, and the Messenger has commanded us.” May God bless him and grant him peace, that our witness should inform our absent person, and I have conveyed to you, so you are on your own.
