Authentic Hadith — HR. Bukhari no. 1 & Muslim no. 1907
On the authority of Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: إِنَّمَا الأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ، وَإِنَّمَا لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مَا نَوَى "Actions are but by intentions, and every person shall have only what he intended." Grade: shahih. Source: HR. Bukhari no. 1 & Muslim no. 1907. May Allah grant us the ability to live by the meaning of this noble hadith.
