Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَلَبِسَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله وسلم may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عليه وسلم " إِنِّي كُنْتُ أَلْبَسُ هَذَا الْخَاتَمَ وَإِنِّي لَنْ أَلْبَسَهُ أَبَدًا " . فَنَبَذَهُ فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .. Has reported to us [Ali bin Hujr] from [Isma'il] from [Abdullah bin Dinar] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam made a gold ring and wore it, when then people also started wearing gold rings. Then the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "I once wore a gold ring, now I will never wear it again forever," he then threw away his ring and people did too (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5275.) 2nd hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَمَا God bless you ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ كَانَ نَقْشُ خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ .. Has informed us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] he said; has reported to us [Muhammad bin Bisyr] he said; has told us [Ubaidullah] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The engraving on the ring of Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam reads 'Muhammad Rasulullah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5276.) 3rd Hadith. God willing God bless you God willing وسلم اتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ وَفَصُّهُ حَبَشِيٌّ وَنَقْشُهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ .. Having informed us [Al Abbas bin Abdul Azhim] he said; has told us [Uthman bin Umar] he said; has reported to us [Yunus] from [Az Zuhri] from [Anas] saying, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wore a ring of silver, the ring was from Habsyah and was engraved with the words 'Muhammad Rasulullah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5277.) 4th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ، عَنْ بِشْرٍ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابًا إِلاَّ مَخْتُومًا . فَاتَّخَذَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ فِضَّةٍ كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَي يَدِهِ وَنُقِشَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ .. Has reported to us [Humaid bin Mas'adah] from [Biysr] - he is Ibnul Mufdldlal - he said; has told us [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Anas] he said, "Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam intended to write a letter to (King) Rum, the companions then said, "They will not read a letter unless there is a stamp in it." He then took a silver ring, and as if I saw the whiteness of the ring circled on his hand. And on the ring was written 'Muhammad Rasulullah (Degree: sahih. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5278.) 5th Hadith. God bless you God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings حَبَشِيٌّ .. Having reported to us [Qutaibah] he said; has told us [Ibnu Wahb] from [Yunus] from [Az Zuhri] from [Anas] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wore a silver ring, and the ring was from Habasyah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5279.) 6th Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing God willing .. Having informed us [Al Qasim bin Zakariya] he said; has told us [Ubaidullah] from [Al Hasan] -he is Ibn Salih- from [Ashim] from [Humaid] from [Anas] he said, "The ring of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was of silver, as were the eyes of his ring (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5280.) 7th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind حُجْرٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزْ رَسُولُ اللَّهْ God willing أَحَدٌ " .. It has been reported to us that [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] and [Ali bin Hujr] - and this is the lafadz - both of them said; has told us [Isma'il] from [Abdul Aziz bin Shuhaib] from [Anas] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "We have made a ring and engraved it (Muhammad Rasulullah), so no one should make an engraving (with the same engraving) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5281.) 8th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing God willing God willing فَلاَ يَنْقُشْ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌ " . وَإِنِّي لأَرَى بَرِيقَهُ فِي خِنْصَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .. Has informed us [Imran bin Musa] he said; has told us [Abdul Warits] from [Abdul Aziz] from [Anas] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: 'We have made a ring and engraved it with an engraving, so no one should engrave it (with the same engraving).' Indeed, I really saw a glint (ring) on the little finger of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5282.) 9th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَِ God willing God willing .. Has informed us [Muhammad bin Amir] he said; has told us [Muhammad bin Isa] he said; has told us [Abbad Ibnul Awwam] from [Sa'id] from [Qatadah] from [Anas] said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wore a ring on his right hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5283.) 10th Hadith. Allah's blessings God bless you God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings الْيُسْرَى .. Having informed us [Al Husain bin Isa Al Bisyhami] he said; has told us [Salm bin Qutaibah] from [Syu'bah] from [Qatadah] from [Anas] he said, "It was as if I saw the whiteness of the ring of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam on the finger of his left hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5284.) 11th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing Allah's blessings رَسُولِ اللَّهْ God willing الْيُسْرَى الْخِنْصَرَ .. Having informed us [Abu Bakr bin Nafi'] he said; has told us [Bahz bin Asad] he said; has told us [Hammad] he said; has told us [Thabit] said, "They asked [Anas] about the ring of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, then Anas answered, "As if I saw the whiteness of his ring which was made of silver, he raised his left hand, namely the little finger (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5285.) 12th Hadith. Allah's blessings God bless you كُلَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْت؏ يَقُولُ نَهَانِي نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْخَاتَمِ فِي السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى .. Having informed us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] he said; has told us [Muhammad] said; has related to us [Syu'bah] from [Ashim bin Kulaib] from [Abu Burdah] he said, "I heard [Ali] say, "The Prophet of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade me to wear a ring on the index finger and middle finger (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5286.) 13th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing فِي إِصْبَعِي هَذِهِ وَفِي الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِيهَا .. Has reported to us [Hannad bin As Sari] from [Abu Al Ahwash] from [Ashim bin Kulaib] from [Abu Burdah] from [Ali] he said, "The Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade me to wear a ring on these two fingers of mine; the middle finger and the finger after it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5287.) 14th Hadith. مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَتَخَتَّمُ بِخَاتَمٍ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ثُمَّ طَرَحَهُ وَلَبِسَ God willing God bless you عَلَى نَقْشِ خَاتَمِي هَذَا " ." وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَطْنِ كَفِّهِ .. Having informed us [Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Yazid] he said; has told us [Sufyan] from [Ayyub bin Musa] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wore a gold ring and then threw it away. After that he wore a silver ring and engraved it with 'Muhammad Rasulullah'. He then said: 'It is not appropriate for someone to make an engraving like mine.' Then he turned the ring towards the palm of his hand (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5288.) 15th Hadith. God bless you God bless you God bless you God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace God willing وَإِلَيْكُمْ نَظْرَةٌ " . ثُمَّ أَلْقَاهُ .. Has informed us [Muhammad bin Ali bin Harb] he said; has told us [Uthman bin Umar] he said; has told us [Malik bin Mighwal] from [Sulaiman Asy Syaibani] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam made a ring and wore it. He said: 'Since that day this ring has kept me busy from your affairs, I look at it and look at you.' After that he threw it away (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5289.) 16th Hadith. God willing نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنْ وسلم اصْطَنَعَ خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَكَانَ يَلْبَسُهُ فَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ فِي بَاطِنِ كَفِّهِ فَصَنَعَ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing مِنْ دَاخِلٍ " . فَرَمَى بِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ " وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَلْبَسُهُ أَبَدًا " . فَنَبَذَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ .. Having reported to us [Qutaibah] he said; has told us [Al Laits] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam made a ring from gold and put it on, he turned the ring eye towards the palm of his hand, then the people joined in making it. After that he sat on the pulpit and took off his ring, he said: 'I once wore this ring, and I turned the ring eye towards the palm of the hand.' Then he threw it away, after which he said again: 'By Allah, I will never use it again.' People also threw away their rings (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5290.) 17th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قِرَاءَةً عَنْ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing فَطَرَحَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ .. It has been reported to us [Muhammad bin Sulaiman] in reading, from [Ibrahim bin Sa'd] from [Ibnu Shihab] from [Anas] that he once saw a silver ring on his hand for one day, then they joined in making and wearing it. Then he threw it away, and they did the same (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5291.) 18th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. الله عليه وسلم فَطَرَحَ النَّاسُ خَوَاتِيمَهُمْ وَاتَّخَي God bless you .. Having reported to us [Qutaibah] he said; has narrated to us [Abu Awanah] from [Abu Bisyr] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam wore a gold ring, and he turned the eye of the ring towards the palm of his hand. Then the people joined in wearing gold rings, so Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam threw away his ring and followed them. After that he made a ring from silver which he used to stamp, and did not wear it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5292.) 19th hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَمَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم خَاتَمًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَجَعَلَ فَصَّهُ مِمَّا يَلِي بَطْنَ كَفِّهِ فَاتَّخَذَ النَّاسُ الْخَوَاتِيمَ فَأَلْقَاهُ رَسُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings " ." مِنْ وَرِقٍ فَأَدْخَلَهُ فِي يَدِهِ ثُمَّ كَانَ فِي God willing يَدِ عُثْمَانَ حَتَّى هَلَكَ فِي بِئْرِ أَرِيسٍ .. Has informed us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] he said; has reported to us [Muhammad bin Bisyr] from [Ubaidullah] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wore a gold ring, he turned the eye of the ring towards the inside of the palm of his hand. Then people joined in wearing rings until the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam threw away his ring and said: "I will never wear it again!" After that he put on a silver ring, he then put the ring into his hand, the ring then moved to Abu Bakr's hand, then moved to Umar's hand, then moved to Uthman's hand until finally the ring was lost in the Aris well (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5293.) 20th hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings عليه وسلم فَرَآنِي سَيِّئَ الْهَيْئَةِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " هَلْ لَكَ مِنْ شَىْءٍ " ." مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَالِ قَدْ آتَانِي اللَّهُ . فَقَالَ " إِذَا كَانَ لَكَ مَالٌ فَلْيُرَ عَلَيْكَ " .. Has informed us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] he said; has told us [Muhammad bin Yazid] he said; has told us [Isma'il bin Abu Khalid] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Abu Al Ahwash] from [his father] he said, "I went in to see the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, then he saw me in an unkempt condition (like a beggar). The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then said: "Do you have any wealth?" He answered, "Yes, Allah has given me all the wealth." He then said: "If you have wealth, you should show it to yourself (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5294.) 21st Hadith. God bless you عَبْدُ اللَّهْ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. بَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوِ God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace وسلم " إِنَّمَا يَلْبَسُ هَذِهِ مَنْ لاَ خَلاَقَ لَهُ فِي الآخِرَةِ " ." وسلم بَعْدُ مِنْهَا بِحُلَلٍ فَكَسَانِي مِنْهَا حُلَّةً فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَسَوْتَنِيهَا وَقَدْ قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم " لَمْ Allah's blessings لِتَكْسُوهَا أَوْ لِتَبِيعَهَا " . فَكَسَاهَا عُمَرُ أَخًا لَهُ مِنْ أُمِّهِ مُشْرِكًا .. Having informed us [Ishaq bin Mansur] he said; has reported to us [Abdullah bin Numair] he said; has told us [Ubaidullah] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] from [Umar Ibnul Khaththab], that he once saw clothes embroidered with silk being sold at the door of the mosque, then I said, "O Messenger of Allah, would you like to buy these clothes to wear on Fridays, or when the messengers come to you?" He then said: "People who wear these clothes are those who will have no share in the afterlife." Umar said, "After that, the cloths were brought to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, he then put one of the clothes on me." Umar then said, "O Messenger of Allah, why are you wearing those clothes for me, even though you have said about those clothes as you have said before!" The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: "I didn't use it for you to use, I used it for you to give to someone else or sell it again." So Umar gave the clothes to his brother who was still a polytheist (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5295.) 22nd Hadith. Allah's blessings عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الله عليه وسلم قَمِيصَ حَرِيرٍ سِيَرَاءَ .. Having informed us [Al Husain bin Huraits] he said; has told us [Isa bin Yunus] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from [Anas] he said, "I once saw the son of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam wearing a cloth embroidered with silk (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5296.) 23rd Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. حَدَّثَنِي الزُّبَيْدِيُّ، عَنْ God bless you God willing سِيَرَاءَ وَالسِّيَرَاءُ الْمُضَلَّعُ بِالْقَزِّ .. He said to us [Amru bin Uthman] from [Baqiyyah], he told me [Az Zubaidi] from [Az Zuhri] from [Anas bin Malik], he told me that Umm Kulthum, the daughter of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, wore a blanket embroidered with silk (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5297.) 24th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَمَا Allah's blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God willing فَبَعَثَ بِهَا إِلَىَّ فَلَبِسْتُهَا فَعَرَفْتُ الْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ فَقَالَ " أَمَا إِنِّي لَمْ أُعْطِكَهَا لِتَلْبَسَهَا " . فَأَمَرَنِي فَأَطَرْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي .. Has informed us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] he said; has reported to us [An Nadlr] and [Abu Amir] both said; has told us [Syu'bah] from [Abu Aun Ats Tsaqafi] he said; I heard [Abu Salih Al Hanafi] he said; I heard [Ali] say, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam received a gift of cloth embroidered with silk, then he sent it to me, so I wore it. But I saw the look of anger on his face, he said: "I gave it not for you to wear!" Then he ordered me to give the cloth to someone else, so I gave the cloth between my wives (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5298.) 25th Hadith. أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَمَا may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ God willing God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings لَهُ " ." Allah's blessings God willing يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قُلْتَ فِيهَا مَا قُلْتَ ثُمَّ بَعَثْتَ إِلَىَّ ." شَقِّقْهَا خُمُرًا بَيْنَ نِسَائِكَ " .. Has informed us [Ishaq bin Ibrahim] he said; has reported to us [Abdullah Ibnul Harits Al Makhzumi] from [Hanzhalah bin Abu Sufyan] from [Salim bin Abdullah] he said; I heard [Ibn Umar] tell that Umar went out and saw clothes embroidered with silk being sold in the market, he then went to the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and said, "O Messenger of Allah, buy those clothes so that you can wear them on Friday or when the messenger comes to you." Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then said: "People who wear this will have no share in the afterlife." After that, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam presented these three clothes, he then put one of them on Umar, the other cloth on Ali and the other cloth on Usamah. Then Umar came to the Messenger of Allah and said, "O Messenger of Allah, you have spoken about it as you said, but why did you send me that cloth?" He answered: "Sell it and fulfill your needs with it, or tear it and make it into a veil for your wives (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5299.) 26th Hadith. Allah's blessings God willing إِسْحَاقَ - قَالَ قَالَ سَالِمٌ مَا الإِسْتَبْرَقُ قُلْتُ مَا غَلُظَ مِنَ الدِّيبَاجِ وَخَشُنَ مِنْهُ . قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَقَالَ " اشْتَرِ هَذِهِ " . وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ .. Has informed us [Imran bin Musa] he said; has told us [Abdul Warits] he said; has told us [Yahya] - namely Ibn Abu Ishaq - he said, "[Salim] asked, "What is istibraq?" I answered, "Cloth mixed with dibaj (a type of silk)." He then said, "I once heard [Abdullah bin Umar] say, "Umar and a man saw a sundus cloth (a cloth finer than silk), then he brought the cloth to the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, so he said: "Buy this cloth...then he mentioned the hadith perfectly (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan An-Nasa'i no. 5300.) 27th Hadith. مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ God bless you God bless you زِيَادٍ، عَنِ ابْن عَبْدِ اللَّهْ فَأَتَاهُ دُهْقَانٌ بِمَاءٍ فِي إِنَاءٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ اعْتَذَرَ إِلَيْهِمْ مِمَّا صَنَعَ بِهِ may Allah bless him and give him peace God bless you وَالْفِضَّةِ وَلاَ تَلْبَسُوا الدِّيبَاجَ وَلاَ الْحَرِيرَ "" .. [Hudzaifah] then spilled the water while apologizing for what he had done. did, he then said, "I have been forbidden from doing that, I once heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: "Do not drink in vessels made of gold and silver, do not wear dibaj (a type of silk) and silk, because that cloth is intended for them in this world and for us in the afterlife (Degree: authentic. Having reported to us [Al Hasan bin Qaza'ah] from [Khalid] - namely Ibnul Harith - he said; has told us [Muhammad bin Amru] from [Waqid bin Amru bin Sa'd bin Mu'adz] he said, "When [Anas bin Malik] came to Medina, I went in to meet him and greeted him. Anas then asked, "Who are you?" I answered, "I am Waqid bin Amru bin Sa'd bin Mu'adz." Anas then said, "Indeed, Sa'd was the tallest and greatest person." Then he cried and his tears became louder. So, after that he said again, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam once sent a messenger to Ukaidar, the ruler of Dumah. Then Ukaidar sent to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam a dibaj cloth (a type of silk cloth) woven with gold thread. Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then put it on and climbed onto the pulpit, he sat down without saying a word. After that he went down until people (tried) to touch the cloth with their hands. He then said: "Do you feel amazed by this cloth? So he said to him, 'Why did you immediately take it off, O Messenger of Allah? ' He answered: 'Jibril 'Alaihis Salam has forbidden me.' Then Umar came to him crying, he said, "O Messenger of Allah, you hate something, but give it to me?" He said: 'I didn't give it for you to use, I gave it for you to sell.'
