Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God bless you جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَطَاِ God willing God فَجَعَلَ عَلَيْهِ مِائَةَ مُحَرَّرٍ . فَأَتَى أَبَا God bless you وَصَلَّى مَا بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ فَسَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءْ وَقَالَ أَبُو الدَّرْدَاءِ سَمِعْتُ or عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ " الْوَالِدُ أَوْسَطُ الْجَنَّةِ فَحَافِظْ عَلَى وَالِدَيْكَ أَوِ اتْرُكْ " .. It has been told to us [Muhammad bin Basysyar] said, it has been told to us [Muhammad bin Ja'far] said, it has been told to us [Syu'bah] from ['Atha bin As Sa`ib] from [Abu 'Abdurrahman] said, "A man was told by his father or mother - Syu'bah felt hesitant - to divorce his wife and she would be replaced with a hundred slaves. So he went to Abu Darda who was at that time performing the first prayer, and he extended ahalat. When Abu Darda prayed between noon and asr, then he asked this [Abu Darda] answered: "Keep your prayer and do good to your parents. Because I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Parents will be in the middle of the gates of heaven, so take care of your parents or you will abandon them (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2089.) 2nd hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى God willing God willing God bless you وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Mush'ab] from [Al Auza'i] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from [Hilal bin Abu Maimunah] from [Atha bin Yasar] from [Rifa'ah Al Juhani] he said, "If the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam took an oath he said: "By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad (Degree: Sahih. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2090.) 3rd Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ God bless you ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ التَّى يَحْلِفُ بِهَا أَشْهَدُ عِنْدَ اللَّهِ " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ " .. Has told us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, has told us [Abdul Malik bin Muhammad bin Ash Shan'ani] said, has told us [Al Auza'i] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from [Hilal bin Abu Maimunah] from ['Atha bin Yasar] from [Rifa'ah bin Arabah Al Juhani] he said, "The oath usually used by the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and means in side of Allah is: "By the One in Whose Hand my soul is (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2091.) 4th Hadith. God willing مُحَمَّدِ بْنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing وَمُصَرِّفِ الْقُلُوبِ " .. Has told us [Abu Ishaq Asy Syafi'I Ibrahim bin Muhammad Ibnul Abbas] said, has told us [Abdullah bin Raja Al Makki] from [Abbad bin Ishaq] from [Ibn Shihab] from [Salim] from [his father] he said, "Most of the oaths used by the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam were: "No, and by the One who turns hearts (Degrees: Sahih. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2092.) 5th Hadith. God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God bless you مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ هِلاَلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَتْ يَمِينُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " لاَ وَأَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ " .. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Hammad bin Khalid]. (in another way mentioned) Has told us [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib] said, has told us [Ma'an bin Isa] everything from [Muhammad bin Hilal] from [his father] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "Most of the oaths used by the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam were: "No, and I ask Allah's forgiveness (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2093.) 6th Hadith. God bless you God bless you سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing وسلم ـ سَمِعَهُ يَحْلِفُ بِأَبِيهِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ " . قَالَ عُمَرُ فَمَا حَلَفْتُ بِهَا ذَاكِرًا وَلاَ آثِرًا .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Abu Umar Al Adani] said, has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from [Salim bin Abdullah bin Umar] from [his father] from [Umar] that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam heard him swear by his father's name, then Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed, Allah forbids you to swear by your fathers. you guys." Umar said, "So I no longer swear whether the oath is from me or from someone else (whom I imitate) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2094.) 7th Hadith. Has told us [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] said, has told us [Abdul A'la] from [Hisyam] from [Al Hasan] from ['Abdurrahman bin Samurah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do not swear with the taghut or with your fathers (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2095.) 8th Hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing قَالَ " مَنْ حَلَفَ فَقَالَ فِي يَمِينِهِ بِاللاَّتِ وَالْعُزَّى فَلْيَقُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ " .. It has been told to us ['Abdurrahman bin Ibrahim Ad Dimasyqi] said, it has been told to us by [Umar bin Abdul Wahid] from [Al Auza'i] from [Az Zuhri] from [Humaid] from [Abu Hurairah] that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears, then in his oath he says with Lata and Uzza, then let him say with LAA ILAAHA ILLA ALLAHU (No there is a God who has the right to be worshiped besides Allah) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2096.) 9th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing عَنْ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ حَلَفْتُ بِاللاَّتْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. يَسَارِكَ ثَلاَثًا وَتَعَوَّذْ وَلاَ تَعُدْ " .. It has been told to us that [Ali bin Muhammad] and [Al Hasan bin Ali Al Khallal] both said; has told us [Yahya bin Adam] from [Isra`il] from [Abu Ishaq] from [Mush'ab bin Sa'd] from [Sa'd] he said, "I have sworn by the name of lata and uzza!" and take refuge and do not repeat it (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2097.) 10th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings كَاذِبًا مُتَعَمِّدًا فَهُوَ كَمَا قَالَ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Al Mutsanna] has told us [Ibn Abu Adi] from [Khalid Al Khaddza`] from [Abu Qilabah] from [Thabit Adl Dlahhak] he said; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears by someone other than Islam and intentionally lies, then he is as he has said (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2098.) 11th Hadith. God bless you عَبْدِ اللَّهْ قَالَ سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ رَجُلاً يَقُولُ may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind. الله عليه وسلم ـ " وَجَبَتْ " .. It has been told to us [Hisyam bin Ammar] said, it has been told to us [Baqiyyah] from [Abdullah bin Muharrar] from [Qatadah] from [Anas] said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam heard a man say, "Then I will just be a Jew." So the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "He has become a Jew (Degree: sahih. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2099.) 12th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" بَرِيءٌ مِنَ الإِسْلاَمَ قَالَ وَإِنْ كَانَ صَادِقًا لَمْ يَعُدْ إِلَيْهِ الإِسْلاَمُ سَالِمًا " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Isma'il bin Samurah] said, has told us [Amru bin Rafi' Al Bajali] said, has told us [Al Fadll bin Musa] from [Al Husain bin Waqid] from [Abdullah bin Buraidah] from [his father] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever says 'I renounce Islam', if he says something by lying, then the law is as he said it, but if it is true then he will not return to Islam safely (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2100.) 13th Hadith. God bless you God bless you God willing God bless you فَقَالَ " لاَ تَحْلِفُوا بِآبَائِكُمْ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِاللَّهِ فَلْيَصْدُقْ وَمَنْ حُلِفَ لَهُ بِاللَّهِ فَلْيَرْضَ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَرْضَ بِاللَّهِ فَلَيْسَ مِنَ اللَّهِ " .. It has been told to us [Muhammad bin Isma'il bin Samurah] said, it has been told to us [Asbath bin Muhammad] from [Muhammad bin 'Ajlan] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam heard a man swear by his father, so he said: "Do not swear by your fathers. Whoever swears by Allah, believe it, and whoever is spoken to by the name of Allah, let him be pleased, then whoever is not pleased with Allah is not from our group (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2101.) 14th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing مَرْيَمَ رَجُلاً يَسْرِقُ فَقَالَ أَسَرَقْتَ قَالَ لاَ وَالَّذِي لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ هُوَ . فَقَالَ عِيسَى آمَنْتُ بِاللَّهِ وَكَذَّبْتُ بَصَرِي " .. Has told us [Ya'qub bin Humaid bin Kasib] said, has told us [Hatim bin Isma'il] from [Abu Bakr bin Yahya bin An Nadlr] from [his father] from [Abu Hurairah] said, "The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Isa bin Maryam saw a man stealing, he said, "Are you stealing?" the man said, "No, the One who has no god but Him!" Jesus then said, "I believe in Allah and deceive my vision (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2102.) 15th Hadith. God bless you مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ بَشَّارِ بْنِ كِدَامٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing .. Has told us [Ali bin Muhammad] said, has told us [Abu Mu'awiyah] from [Basyhar bin Kidam] from [Muhammad bin Zaid] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Onlyanaya oath is a sin or regret (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2103.) 16th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ or Allah's blessings مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " حَلَفَ فَقَالَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ فَلَهُ ثُنْيَاهُ " .. Has told us [Al Abbas bin Abdul Azhim Al Anbari] said, has told us ['Abdurrazaq] said, has told us [Ma'mar] from [Thawus] from [his father] from [Abu Hurairah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears and then says 'If Allah wills', then for him it is something that is excluded (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2104.) 17th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَنْ حَلَفَ وَاسْتَثْنَى إِنْ شَاءَ رَجَعَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ غَيْرُ حَانِثٍ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Ziyad] said, has told us [Abdul Warits bin Sa'id] from [Ayyub] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] he said, "Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears and says 'Insha-Allah', if he wishes he can fulfill his oath and if he wishes he can abandon it without sinning (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2105.) 18th Hadith. may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رِوَايَةً قَالَ " مَنْ حَلَفَ وَاسْتَثْنَى فَلَمْ يَحْنَثْ " .. Has told us [Abdullah bin Muhammad Az Zuhri] said, has told us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Ayyub] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] historically, he said: "Whoever swears by making an exception (God willing), then he does not sin (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2106.) 19th hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings نَسْتَحْمِلُهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ "" عَلَيْهِ " ." أُتِيَ بِإِبِلٍ فَأَمَرَ لَنَا بِثَلاَثَةِ إِبِلٍ ذَوْدٍ غُرِّ God willing Allah's blessings فَحَلَفَ أَلاَّ يَحْمِلَنَا ثُمَّ حَمَلَنَا ارْجِعُوا بِنَا . فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا God bless you . ثُمَّ حَمَلْتَنَا فَقَالَ " وَاللَّهِ مَا أَنَا حَمَلْتُكُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ حَمَلَكُمْ وَاللَّهَ حَمَلْتُكُمْ بَلّ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings خَيْرًا مِنْهَا إِلاَِ God willing هُوَ خَيْرٌ وَكَفَّرْتُ عَنْ يَمِينِي " .. Has told us [Ahmad bin Abdah] said, has told us [Hammad bin Zaid] said, has told us [Ghailan bin Jarir] from [Abu Burdah] from his father [Abu Musa] he said, "I came to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam in a group of Ash'ari people, hoping that he would take us. Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam then said: "By Allah, I will not take you, and I have nothing that I can use to carry you." Abu Musa said, "But we remained for a while, until a camel appeared before him." Then he ordered us to ride three fat camels. When we had left, some of us said to others, "We went to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam hoping that he would take us, but instead he swore and didn't want to take us. After that he took us and said: "Come back with us," so we went to him. Then we said, "O Messenger of Allah, we came to you hoping that you would take us, but instead you swore not to take us, and after that you took us! " He replied: "By Allah, I did not take you, but Allah brought you. Indeed, I, by Allah, God willing, if I swear on something, then see something better than it, I will redeem my oath and return to what is better than it, or he said: "I took what was better than it and redeemed my vow (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2107.) 20th hadith. God bless you God willing عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزْ God willing God bless you فَرَأَى غَيْرَهَا خَيْرًا مِنْهَا فَلْيَأْتِ الَّذِي هُوَ خَيْرٌ وَلْيُكَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ " .. It has been told to us that [Ali bin Muhammad] and [Abdullah bin Amir bin Zurarah] both said; has told us [Abu Bakr bin Ayyasy] from [Abdul Aziz bin Rufai'] from [Tamim bin Tharafah] from [Adi bin Hatim] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears on something and then sees something better than it, then let him take the better one and redeem his oath (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2108.) 21st Hadith. God bless you may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you فَأَحْلِفُ أَنْ لاَ، أُعْطِيَهُ وَلاَ أَصِلَهُ كَفِّرْ عَنْ يَمِينِكَ " .. Has told us [Muhammad bin Abu Umar Al 'Adani] said, has told us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] said, has told us [Abu Az Za'ra Amru bin Amru] from his uncle [Abul Ahwash Auf bin Malik Al Jusyami] from [his father] he said, "O Rasulullah, my nephew came to me. Then I swore not to give him and not to connect ties of friendship." He said: "You should pay kafarat for your oath (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2109.) 22nd Hadith. God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فِيمَا لاَ يَصْلُحُ فَبِرُّهُ أَنْ لاَ يَتِمَّ عَلَى ذَلِكَ " .. It has been told to us [Ali bin Muhammad] said, it has been told to us [Abdullah bin Numair] from [Haritsah bin Abu Rajal] from [Amrah] from ['Aisyah] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears to sever ties of friendship or to something for which there is no benefit, then the good action is not to carry it out (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2110.) 23rd Hadith. God willing God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God bless you God bless you فَلْيَتْرُكْهَا فَإِنَّ تَرْكَهَا كَفَّارَتُهَا " .. Has told us [Abdullah bin Abdul Mu'min Al Wasithi] said, has told us ['Aun bin Umarah] said, has told us [Rauh bin Al Qasim] from [Ubaidullah bin Umar] from [Amru bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Whoever swears an oath, then he sees something better than him, then let him leave it (oath), because leaving it is a form of kafarah (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2111.) 24th Hadith. God bless you عَبْدِ اللَّهْ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَعْلَي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. قَالَ كَفَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ بِصَاعٍ مِنْ تَمْرٍ وَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ بِذَلِكَ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَنِصْفُ صَاعٍ مِنْ بُرٍّ .. Has told us [Al Abbas bin Yazid] said, has told us [Ziyad bin Abdullah Al Bakka`i] said, has told us [Umar bin Abdullah bin Ya'la Ats Tsaqafi] from [Minhal bin 'Amru] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam paid the kafarat with a bushel of dates, he also ordered the people to does it like that. Whoever does not find it, then half a bushel of wheat (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2112.) 25th Hadith. حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدَ God willing God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you {مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ} .. It has been told to us [Muhammad bin Yahya] said, it has been told to us ['Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] said, it has been told to us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Sulaiman bin Abul Mughirah] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas] he said, "A man gives his family staple food in excess, and there is also someone who gives his family staple food in excess, then the verse came down: 'That is from the food you usually give to your family'." (QS. Al Maidah;) (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2113.) 26th Hadith. God bless you God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing God willing God bless you God willing يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ نَحْوَهُ .. Has told us [Sufyan bin Waki'] said, has told us [Muhammad bin Humaid Al Ma'mari] from [Ma'mar] from [Hammam] he said, "I heard [Abu Hurairah] say, "Abu Qasim shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "If one of you continues his oath then he will sin. And with Allah he has kafarah as has been commanded." Has told us [Muhammad bin Yahya] Has told us [Yahya bin Salih Al Wahazhi] Has told us [Mu'awiyah bin Salam] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from [Ikrimah] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam with a similar Hadith (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2114.) 27th Hadith. God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God bless you God bless you وسلم ـ بِإِبْرَارِ الْمُقْسِمِ .. Has told us [Ali bin Muhammad] said, has told us [Waki'] from [Ali bin Salih] from [Ash'ath bin Abu Asy Sya'tsa] from [Mu'awiah bin Suwaid bin Muqarrin] from [Al Bara bin Azib] he said, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered us to fulfill the oath (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2115.) 28th Hadith. God willing God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing كَانَ يَوْمُ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ جَاءَ بِأَبِيهِ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ اجْعَلْ لأَبِي نَصِيبًا فِي الْهِجْرَةِ . فَقَالَ " إِنَّهُ لاَ هِجْرَةَ " . فَانْطَلَقَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَى الْعَبَّاسِ فَقَالَ قَدْ عَرَفْتَنِي فَقَالَ أَجَلْ . فَخَرَجَ الْعَبَّاسُ فِي قَمِيصٍ لَيْسَ عَم فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَدْ عَرَفْتَ فُلاَنًا وَالَّذِي God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing الْهِجْرَةِ . فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " إِنَّهُ لاَ هِجْرَةَ " ." Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Abu Bakr bin Abu Syaibah] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ubaidullah bin Musa] dari [Israil]. Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Yahya bin Hakim] dari ['Abdurrahman bin Mahdi] dari [Isra`il] dari [Ibrahim bin Abdul A'la] dari [Neneknya] dari bapaknya [Suwaid bin Hanzhalah] ia berkata; "Kami berangkat ingin menemui Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, sementara kami bersama Wail bin Hujr. Kemudian ia diculik musuhnya. Kami (para sahabat) terpaksa harus bersumpah, dan saya bersumpah bahwa Wail bin Hujr saudaraku. Karena sumpahku, musuh pun membebaskan Wail untuk meneruskan perjalanan. Setiba kami di Rasulullah, kami utarakan kasus kami, yaitu para sahabat terpaksa harus bersumpah, dan aku bersumpah bahwa Wail saudaraku. Telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ahmad bin Yusuf] berkata, telah menceritakan kepada kami [Ubaidullah] dari [Sufyan] dari [Abu Az Zinad] dari [Al A'raj] dari [Abu Hurairah] ia berkata, "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam bersabda: "Sesungguhnya nadzar itu tidaklah datang kepada anak Adam kecuali sesuatu yang telah ditakdirkan atasnya. Akan tetapi sesuatu yang telah ditakdirkan itu terkalahkan oleh ketetapan takdir (yang lain), hingga ia (yang dinadzarkan) dikeluarkan dari seorang yang bakhil. Lalu dimudahkan baginya sesuatu yang sebelumnya sulit. Dan Allah berfirman: "Berinfaklah, maka Aku akan berifak kepadamu (Derajat: shahih. Sumber: Sunan Ibnu Majah no. 2123.)
