Welcome to the study of authentic hadith selected by ULYAH. Let's look at some of the following sayings of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, one by one, with an open heart to put them into practice. 1st Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. لِلْمُحْرِمِ ‏.‏. Yahya has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] hates wearing a belt for people who are in ihram (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 716.) 2nd hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، أَنَّهُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing يَلْبَسُهَا الْمُحْرِمُ تَحْتَ ثِيَابِهِ أَنَّهُ لاَ بَأْسَ God bless you God bless you سَمِعْتُ إِلَىَّ فِي ذَلِكَ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] that he heard [Sa'id bin Musayyab] say about the belt that is attached under the clothes, which is worn by people who are in ihram. That there is nothing wrong with lal, if he makes the two ends a belt that binds each other." Malik said; "This is the narration that I most like to hear on this matter (Degree: authentic. God bless you God bless you God willing God willing مُحْرِمٌ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] from [Al Qasim bin Muhammad] said; has informed me [Al Furafishah bin 'Umair Al Hanafi] that he once saw [Uthman bin Affan] in Araj covering his face, even though at that time he was in ihram (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 718.) 4th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God bless you فَلاَ يُخَمِّرْهُ الْمُحْرِمُ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin 'Umar] said, "What is above the chin for a person in ihram should not be covered (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 719.) 5th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. وَمَاتَ بِالْجُحْفَةِ مُحْرِمًا وَخَمَّرَ رَأْسَهُ وَوَجْهَهُ وَقَالَ لَوْلاَ أَنَّا حُرُمٌ لَطَيَّبْنَاهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ وَإِنَّمَا يَعْمَلُ الرَّجُلُ مَا دَامَ حَيًّا فَإِذَا مَاتَ فَقَدِ انْقَضَى الْعَمَلُ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin Umar] shrouded his son, Waqid bin Abdullah, when he died in Juhfah in a state of ihram. He covered his face and head, then said, "If it were not for us in the state of ihram, we would give him perfume (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 720.) 6th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. الْمُحْرِمَةُ وَلاَ تَلْبَسُ الْقُفَّازَيْنِ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin 'Umar] said, "A woman who is in ihram must not wear a veil or gloves (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 721.) 7th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ الْمُنْذِرِ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ كُنَّا نُخَمِّرُ وُجُوهَنَا وَنَحْنُ مُمَاتٌ وَنَحْنُ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Hisyam bin Urwah] from [Fathimah bint Al Mundzir] said; "When we were in ihram we once covered our faces, even though we were with [Asma bint Abu Bakr ash Shiddiq] (Degree: authentic. God willing God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَلِحِلِّهِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] from [his father] from [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said, "I once gave Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam perfume for his ihram before he entered ihram, and for his tahallul before he made tawaf in the Kaaba (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 723.) 9th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ God willing God willing God willing وَبِهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ فَقَالَ يَا may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings God willing God willing الصُّفْرَةَ عَم حَجِّكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Humaid bin Qais] from ['Atha bin Abu Rabah], that there was a Bedouin who met Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam when he was in Hunain. The Bedouin wore clothes that had yellow traces of perfume. The Bedouin said; "O Messenger of Allah! I intend to perform Umrah, so what do you order me to do?" Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam then said: "Take off your clothes, wash the traces of yellow, then do in your Umrah as you did in your Hajj (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 724.) 10th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَسْلَمَ، God bless you وَجَدَ رِيحَ طِيبٍ وَهُوَ بِالشَّجَرَةِ فَقَالَ مِمَّنْ رِيحُ God bless you يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ مِنْكَ لَعَمْرُ God willing God willing عَزَمْتُ عَلَيْكَ لَتَرْجِعَنَّ فَلْتَغْسِلَنَّهُ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Aslam] former slave 'Umar bin Khattab, that [Umar bin al Khatthab] smelled a fragrance while he was taking shelter under a tree. He then asked; "Who does this fragrance come from?" Mu'awiyah bin Abu Sufyan answered; "From me, O Amirul Mukminin." Umar bin Khattab said; "From you, by Allah!" Mu'awiyah said, "O Amirul Mukminin, Umm Habibah who gave me this perfume!" Umar said, "I really want you to go home and wash the perfume (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 725.) 11th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ الصَّلْتِ بْنِ زُيَيْدٍ، عَنْ God bless you وَجَدَ رِيحَ طِيبٍ وَهُوَ بِالشَّجَرَةِ وَإِلَى جَنْبِهِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ مِمَّنْ رِيحُ هَذَا God willing لَبَّدْتُ رَأْسِي وَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ لاَ أَحْلِقَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ فَاذْهَبْ إِلَى شَرَبَةٍ فَادْلُكْ رَأْسَكَ حَتَّى تُنَقِّيَهُ ‏.‏ فَفَعَلَ كَثِيرُ بْنُ الصَّلْتِ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ الشَّرَبَةُ حَفِيرٌ تَكُونُ عِنْدَ أَصْلِ النَّخْلَةِ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from Shalt bin Zubaid from [several members of his family] that [Umar bin al Khatthab] smelled a fragrance while he was taking shelter under a tree, while next to him was Katsir bin as Shalt. Umar then asked, "Who does this fragrance come from?" Kathir said; "From me, O Amirul Mukminin. I have gathered my hair, I intend not to shave it." 'Umar said; "Go to the sharabah and wash your hair until it is clean." Katsir bin as Shalt then did it." Malik said; "Ash Syarabah is a well located at the base of a date palm tree (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 726.) 12th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing وَقَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ عَنِ الطِّيبِ فَنَهَاهُ سَالِمٌ وَأَرْخَصَ لَهُ خَارِجَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ مَالِكٌ لاَ بَأْسَ أَنْ يَدَّهِنَ الرَّجُلُ بِدُهْنٍ لَيْسَ فِيهِ طِيبٌ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُحْرِمَ وَقَبْلَ أَنْ يُفِيضَ مِنْ مِنًى بَعْدَ رَمْىِ الْجَمْرَةِ ‏.‏ قَالَ يَحْيَى سُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ طَعَامٍ فِيهِ زَعْفَرَانٌ هَلْ يَأْكُلُهُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings فَلاَ بَأْسَ بِهِ أَنْ يَأْكُلَهُ الْمُحْرِمُ وَأَمَّا مَا God willing الْمُحْرِمُ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Yahya bin Sa'id] and [Abdullah bin Abu Bakr] and [Rabi'ah bin Abu Abdurrahman], that al Walid bin Abdul Malik once asked [Salim bin Abdullah] and [Kharijah bin Zaid bin Thabit] after he threw the juror and shaved his head, to wear perfume? So Salim forbade it, while Kharijah bin Zaid bin Thabit allowed it (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 727.) 13th Hadith. love اللَّهِ بْنْ قَالَ ‏"‏ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ "" وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar], that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "The people of Medina started wearing ihram clothes from Dzil Hulaifah, the people of Sham from Juhfah, the people of Nejd from Qarn." Abdullah bin Umar said, "Someone told me that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: 'The people of Yemen have been wearing ihram since Yalamlam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 728.) 14th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنْ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلَ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Abdullah bin Dinar] from [Abdullah bin Umar] he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam ordered the people of Medina to start ihram from Dzil Hulaifah, the people of Syam from Juhfah, and the people of Najd from Qarn." Abdullah bin Umar said, "I heard these three directly from Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, but someone told me that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam also said: "The people of Yemen begin their ihram from Yalamlam (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 729.) 15th Hadith. God bless you عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، أَهَلَّ مِنْ إِيلْيَاءَ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Nafi'] that [Abdullah bin 'Umar] started ihram from al Furu (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 731.) 16th Hadith. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings لَبَّيْكَ وَسَعْدَيْكَ وَالْخَيْرُ بِيَدَيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Nafi'] from [Abdullah bin Umar] that the talbiyah of Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam is; "LABBAIKALLAHUMMA LABBAIK LABBAIKA LAA SYARIIKALAKA LABBAIK, INNAL HAMDA WANNI'MATA LAKA WALMULK LAA SYARIIKALAK (I fulfill Your call, O Allah, I fulfill Your call, O Allah, I fulfill Your call, O Allah. All praise, pleasure and power are Yours. There is no partner for You)." Nafi' said, "Abdullah bin Umar once added to it, 'LABBAIKA LABBAIK LABBAIKA WA SA'DAIK WAL KHAIRU BIYADAIKA LABBAIK WAR RAGHBA'U ILAIKA WAL 'AMAL (I fulfill Your call, I fulfill Your call, I fulfill Your call. Desires and deeds are only Yours) (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 733.) 17th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. مَسْجِدَ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Musa bin 'Uqbah] from [Salim bin Abdullah] that he heard [his father] say; "This is the desert of your Sahara that you have lied about Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam. Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam did not begin to practice ihram except from the mosque, namely the Dzil Hulaifah mosque (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 735.) 18th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ God willing لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ يَا أَبَا عَبْنِ God willing God willing Allah's blessings God willing God willing God bless you God willing يَوْمُ التَّرْوِيَةِ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ may Allah bless him and give him peace and blessings may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing صلى الله عليه وسلم يَلْبَسُ النِّعَالَ الَّتَا شَعَرٌ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ فِيهَا فَأَنَا أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَلا God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God bless you God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Sa'id bin Abu Sa'id Al Maqburi] from ['Ubaid bin Juraij] he said to [Abdullah bin 'Umar], "O Abu Abdurrahman, I have seen you do four things that I have never seen from your companions." Ibn Umar asked; "What is that, O Ibn Juraij?" Ibn Juraij answered; "I saw that you did not touch the existing pillars except for the two Yamani pillars. I saw you wearing sandals made of leather that had no fur. I saw you dipping in yellow water. I also saw that when you were in Mecca, people made ihram after seeing the new moon, whereas you did not do so until the day of tarwiyah." Abdullah bin 'Umar answered; "Regarding the pillars, I have never seen Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam touch them except for the two Yamani pillars. Meanwhile, sandals are made of leather without fur, because I have seen Rasulullah Abu Mu'awiyah wear sandals without fur and he performed ablution wearing them so I like to wear them. Meanwhile, yellow perfume, I have seen Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam dip with it, so I like to dip with it. Problem ihram, I never saw Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam start ihram so that his vehicle was running properly (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 736.) 19th hadith. God willing God willing God willing مَعِي أَنْ يَرْفَعُوا أَصْوَاتَهُمْ بِالتَّلْبِيَةِ أَوْ بِالإِهْلاَلِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ يُرِيدُ أَحَدَهُمَا ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin 'Amru bin Hazm] from [Abdul Malik bin Abu Bakr bin Al Harith bin Hisham] from [Khallad bin As Sa`ib Al Anshari] from [his father], that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Jibril came to me and told me to order my companions, or anyone who was with me to raise his voice during talbiyah or ihram." What the narrator means is one of them (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 739.) 20th hadith. God willing God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing عليه وسلم عَامَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ Allah's blessings وَمِنَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِالْحَجِّ وَأَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَحَلَّ وَأَمَّا مَنْ أَهَلَّ بِحَجٍّ أَوْ جَمَعَ الْحَجَّ وَلَمْ يُحِلُّوا حَتَّى كَانَ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Abu Al Aswad Muhammad bin Abdurrahman] from [Urwah bin Az Zubair] from [Aisyah] the wife of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, said; "We went out with Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam on Hajj Wada'. So, some of us perform the ihram for Umrah, there are those who perform the ihram for Umrah and Hajj only, and there are those for the Hajj only. Meanwhile, Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam only performed ihram for Hajj. So those who perform ihram for Umrah remain in tahallul, while those who perform ihram for Hajj, or those who perform ihram for Hajj and Umrah, they do not remain in ihram until the day of nahr (slaughter) (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 740.) 21st Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ God willing God willing أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ ‏.‏. has told me from Malik from [Abdurrahman bin Al Qasim] from [his father] from [Aisyah] Ummul Mukminin, that the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam performed the Hajj ifrad (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 741.) 22nd Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، مُحَمَّدِ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing عليه وسلم أَفْرَدَ الْحَجَّ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Abu Al Aswad Muhammad bin Abdurrahman] said; -he was an orphan who was in the care of Urwah bin Az Zubair- from, ['Urwah bin Az Zubair] from [Aisyah] Ummul Mukminin, that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam carried out the Hajj ifrad (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 742.) 23rd Hadith. God willing God bless you دَخَلَ عَلَى عَم يَنْجَعُ بَكَرَاتٍ لَهُ دَقِيقًا وَخَبَطًا فَقَالَ هَذَا God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. God bless you طَالِبٍ وَعَلَى يَدَيْهِ أَثَرُ الدَّقِيقِ وَالْخَبَطِ - فَمَا أَنْسَى أَثَرَ الدَّقِيقِ وَالْخَبَطِ عَلَى ذِرَاعَيْهِ - may Allah bless him and give him peace of mind God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing فَقَالَ عُثْمَانُ ذَلِكَ رَأْيِي ‏.‏ فَخَرَجَ عَلِيٌّ مُغْضَبًا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَِ God bless you God bless you يَأْخُذْ مِنْ شَعَرِهِ شَيْئًا وَلَمْ يَحْلِلْ مِنْ شَىْءٍ God bless you يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ ‏.‏. has told me Yahya from Malik from [Ja'far bin Muhammad] from [his father], that Al Miqdad bin Al Aswad met [Ali bin Abi Talib] in as Suqya. At that time Ali was giving his camel water, as well as flour and animal food. Miqdad then said; "'[Uthman bin 'Affan] has prohibited the Hajj and Umrah by qiran." Ali bin Abu Talib then came out, while his hands still had traces of flour and animal food on them. And I don't forget the traces of flour and food on his hands, so he met 'Uthman bin 'Affan. Ali asked; "Are you the one who banned the Hajj and Umrah by qiran?" 'Uthman replied, "That is my opinion." So Ali came out with emotion and read; "LABBAIK ALLAHUMMA LABBAIK, LABBAIK BI HAJJIN WA UMRATIN MA'AN (I fulfill Your call, O Allah, I fulfill Your call. I fulfill Your call with Hajj and Umrah at the same time) (Degree: authentic. Source: Muwatta Malik no. 743.) 24th Hadith. وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ God willing God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing, God willing. 'Alqamah bin Abu 'Alqamah's mother said; "Aisyah performed talbiyah while she was there, as did the people who were with her. When she got into her vehicle and walked towards the wukuf place, then she left her talbiyah." He added; "Aishah performed the Umrah after the Hajj from Mecca in the month of Dhul Hijjah, then she left that. 'Aishah went out before the crescent moon of the month of Muharram was seen, so that she arrived at Juhfah. Then she remained there until she saw the new moon. If she had seen the new moon, then she started ihram for Umrah (Degree: sahih. I have sent my purchases. So write your order to me or order the person who wants to sacrifice." 'Amrah said, "Aisha then said, "Not as Ibn 'Abbas said. I spun the ropes of the sacrifices of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam with my two hands, then the Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam followed with his hands.
