It has been told to us that [Uthman bin Umar] has told us [Yunus] from [Az Zuhri] from [Abdullah bin Ka'b] from [his father] that he asked Ibn Abu Hadrad to pay the debt he owed at the mosque, apparently their voices rose so much that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam heard them, at that time he was in his house. Then he came out to meet them both, calling: "O Ka'b!" Ka'b answered; "I welcome your call, O Messenger of Allah!" He said: "Cancel some of your debts." Then he motioned to him, meaning (to abort) half!" Ka'b said; "I have done it." He said: "Stand up and pay the debt! " (Degree: authentic. Source: Sunan Ad-Darimi.) 35th Hadith.
