أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْوَدَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ قَالَ شَاوَرْتُ مُحَمَّدًا فِي بِنَاءٍ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَبْنِيَهُ فِي الْكَلَّاءِ قَالَ فَأَشَارَ عَلَيَّ وَقَالَ إِذَا أَرَدْتَ أَسَاسَ الْبِنَاءِ فَآذِنِّي حَتَّى أَجِيءَ مَعَكَ قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ قَالَ فَبَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ نَمْشِي إِذْ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ فَمَشَى مَعَهُ فَقَامَ فَقَالَ أَلَكَ حَاجَةٌ قَالَ لَا قَالَ أَمَّا لَا فَاذْهَبْ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيَّ فَقَالَ أَنْتَ أَيْضًا فَاذْهَبْ قَالَ فَذَهَبْتُ حَتَّى خَالَفْتُ الطَّرِيقَ

Saeed bin Amir told us, Humaid bin Aswad told us, on the authority of Ibn Aoun, he said: I consulted with Muhammad about a building that I wanted to build in Al-Kala’. He said: So he pointed at me and said, “If you want the foundation of the building, then let me know until I come with you.” So I went to him. He said, “While we were walking, a man came and walked.” With him, so he got up and said, “Do you need something?” He said, “No.” He said, “No, so go.” Then he came to me and said, “You too, so go.” He said, “I went until I crossed the path.”

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ نُسَيْرٍ أَنَّ الرَّبِيعَ كَانَ إِذَا أَتَوْهُ يَقُولُ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ شَرِّكُمْ يَعْنِي أَصْحَابَهُ

Ahmad bin Al-Hajjaj told us, Abd al-Rahman bin Mahdi told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Nasir, that when the spring came, he would say, “I seek refuge.” By God, from your evil, meaning its companions.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ صَالِحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ قَالَ وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي نَجَوْتُ مِنْ عَمَلِي كَفَافًا لَا لِي وَلَا عَلَيَّ

Muhammad ibn Yusuf informed us on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Salih, he said: I heard al-Sha`bi say: I wish I had been saved from my work as a subsistence, neither for me nor against me.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً وَحَدِّثُوا عَنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ وَلَا حَرَجَ وَمَنْ كَذَبَ عَلَيَّ مُتَعَمِّدًا فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنْ النَّارِ

Abu Al-Mughirah told us, Al-Awza’i told us, on the authority of Hassan, on the authority of Abu Kabsha, he said, I heard Abdullah bin Amr, he said, I heard the Messenger of God May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. He said: Convey even a verse on my behalf, and narrate on the authority of the Children of Israel, and there is no blame. And whoever lies about me intentionally, let him take his seat. أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ السَّعْدِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ بْنُ حَوْشَبٍ أَبُو عِيسَى الشَّيْبَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ عَوْفٍ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ لَا يَغْلِبُونَا عَلَى ثَلَاثٍ أَنْ نَأْمُرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَنَنْهَى عَنْ الْمُنْكَرِ وَنُعَلِّمَ النَّاسَ السُّنَنَ

Ali ibn Hajar al-Saadi informed us, Yazid ibn Harun informed us, al-Awwam ibn Hawshab, Abu Issa al-Shaybani informed us, al-Qasim ibn Awf Al-Shaybani, on the authority of Abu Dharr, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us not to let them prevail over three people, to enjoin what is right and forbid. from evil and teach the people the Sunnahs

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ هُوَ ابْنُ إِسْحَقَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ أَتَيْتُ أَبَا ذَرٍّ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ عِنْدَ الْجَمْرَةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقَدْ اجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ يَسْتَفْتُونَهُ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَوَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَمْ تُنْهَ عَنْ الْفُتْيَا فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَرَقِيبٌ أَنْتَ عَلَيَّ لَوْ وَضَعْتُمْ الصَّمْصَامَةَ عَلَى هَذِهِ وَأَشَارَ إِلَى قَفَاهُ ثُمَّ ظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي أُنْفِذُ كَلِمَةً سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تُجِيزُوا عَلَيَّ لَأَنْفَذْتُهَا

Abdul Wahhab bin Saeed told us, Shuaib told us, he is Ibn Ishaq, Al-Awza’i told us, Abu Kathir told me, my father told me, he said I came. Abu Dharr was sitting at the middle Jamarat, and the people had gathered around him asking him for a fatwa. A man came to him and stood over him and said, “Did you not prohibit it?” On the authority of the young man, he raised his head to him and said, “You are my supervisor, if you put the bolt on this.” He pointed to the back of his neck. Then I thought that I I will implement a word I heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, before you gave me permission to implement it.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ الْعَوَّامِ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ أَتُرِيدُ أَنْ تَكُونَ مُفْتِيًا فَقُلْتُ لَا وَلَكِنْ لَا آمَنُ أَنْ تَذْهَبُوا وَنَبْقَى فَقَالَ صَدَقَ أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ

Muhammad bin Isa told us: Abbad, who is Ibn al-Awwam, told us, on the authority of Awf, on the authority of Abu al-Aliyah, who said: I asked Ibn Abbas about something, and he said: Oh Abu Al-Aaliya, do you want to be a mufti? I said, “No, but I do not believe that you will go and we stay.” He said, “Abu Al-Aaliya has spoken the truth.”

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ حَدَّثَنَا غَسَّانُ هُوَ ابْنُ مُضَرَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عِكْرِمَةَ يَقُولُ مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَسْأَلُونِي أَفْلَسْتُمْ

Al-Hakam bin Al-Mubarak told us, Ghassan told us, he is Ibn Mudar, on the authority of Sa’id bin Yazid, he said, I heard Ikrimah say, “What’s the matter with you?” You ask me, are you bankrupt?

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْمُكْتِبُ حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ الْعِلْمُ خَزَائِنُ وَتَفْتَحُهَا الْمَسْأَلَةُ

Muhammad bin Hatim Al-Muttab told us, Aamir bin Salih told us, Yunus told us, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, who said, “Knowledge is a storehouse, and the question opens it.”

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَنْ رَقَّ وَجْهُهُ رَقَّ عِلْمُهُ وَوَكِيعٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ مَنْ رَقَّ وَجْهُهُ جَهِلَ عِلْمُهُ وَعَنْ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ مَنْ رَقَّ وَجْهُهُ رَقَّ عِلْمُهُ

Ibrahim bin Ishaq told us on the authority of Jarir. He said, Ibrahim said, “Whoever has a gentle face, his knowledge will be gentle.” Waki’, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Al-Sha’bi, said, “Whoever His face was softened by his ignorance. On the authority of Damra, on the authority of Hafs ibn Umar, he said, Umar ibn al-Khattab said: Whoever softens his face, his knowledge will be softened.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَجْمَعُ بَنِيهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا بَنِيَّ تَعَلَّمُوا فَإِنْ تَكُونُوا صِغَارَ قَوْمٍ فَعَسَى أَنْ تَكُونُوا كِبَارَ آخَرِينَ وَمَا أَقْبَحَ عَلَى شَيْخٍ يُسْأَلُ لَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ عِلْمٌ

Muhammad bin Ahmad bin Abi Khalaf told us, Anas bin Iyaad told us, on the authority of Hisham bin Urwa, on the authority of his father, that he used to gather his sons So he says, “My sons, learn. If you are young people, then perhaps you will be great among others. And how ugly it is for an old man to be asked if he has no knowledge.”

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِرِّيتِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَضَعُ فِي رِجْلَيَّ الْكَبْلَ وَيُعَلِّمُنِي الْقُرْآنَ وَالسُّنَنَ

Abu Al-Numan told us, Hammad bin Zayd told us, on the authority of Al-Zubayr bin Al-Kharit, on the authority of Ikrimah, who said: Ibn Abbas used to put cables around my feet. He teaches me the Qur’an and the Sunnah

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ قَالَ عِلْمٌ لَا يُقَالُ بِهِ كَكَنْزٍ لَا يُنْفَقُ مِنْهُ

Muhammad bin Yusuf informed us on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Salih bin Khabab, on the authority of Husayn bin Uqba, on the authority of Salman. He said, “Knowledge that cannot be said about it.” Like a treasure that cannot be spent

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ قَالَ لَقَدْ أَقَمْتُ فِي الْمَدِينَةِ ثَلَاثًا مَا لِي حَاجَةٌ إِلَّا وَقَدْ فَرَغْتُ مِنْهَا إِلَّا أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانُوا يَتَوَقَّعُونَهُ كَانَ يَرْوِي حَدِيثًا فَأَقَمْتُ حَتَّى قَدِمَ فَسَأَلْتُهُ

Muhammad ibn Isa informed us, Hammad ibn Zayd informed us, on the authority of Ayyub, on the authority of Abu Qalabah, he said: I have stayed in Medina for three days, and I have no need except that... I finished it, but a man they were expecting was narrating a hadith, so I stayed until he came and asked him.

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ عَنْ ابْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ بُسْرَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُ إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَرْكَبُ إِلَى مِصْرٍ مِنْ الْأَمْصَارِ فِي الْحَدِيثِ الْوَاحِدِ لِأَسْمَعَهُ

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو قَطَنٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ أَبِي خَلْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ الرِّوَايَةَ بِالْبَصْرَةِ عَنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ نَرْضَ حَتَّى رَكِبْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَسَمِعْنَاهَا مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهِمْ

Amr ibn Zurarah informed us, Abu Qatn informed us, Amr ibn al-Haytham, on the authority of Abu Khaldah, on the authority of Abu Al-Aliyah, he said: We were listening to the narration. In Basra, on the authority of the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, but we were not satisfied until we rode to Medina and heard it from their mouths.

أَخْبَرَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ دَاوُدُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْ لِصَاحِبِ الْعِلْمِ يَتَّخِذْ عَصًا مِنْ حَدِيدٍ وَنَعْلَيْنِ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ وَيَطْلُبْ الْعِلْمَ حَتَّى تَنْكَسِرَ الْعَصَا وَتَنْخَرِقَ النَّعْلَانِ

Nu`aym bin Hammad told us, Baqiyya told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman al-Tustari, who said: David, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Say The one who has knowledge takes an iron stick and two iron sandals and seeks knowledge until the stick breaks and the sandals are pierced.

أَخْبَرَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ عَنْ حُصَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ آلِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ طَلَبْتُ الْعِلْمَ فَلَمْ أَجِدْهُ أَكْثَرَ مِنْهُ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ فَكُنْتُ آتِي الرَّجُلَ فَأَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ فَيُقَالُ لِي نَائِمٌ فَأَتَوَسَّدُ رِدَائِي ثُمَّ أَضْطَجِعُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ إِلَى الظُّهْرِ فَيَقُولُ مَتَى كُنْتَ هَا هُنَا يَا ابْنَ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ فَأَقُولُ مُنْذُ زَمَنٍ طَوِيلٍ فَيَقُولُ بِئْسَ مَا صَنَعْتَ هَلَّا أَعْلَمْتَنِي فَأَقُولُ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ تَخْرُجَ إِلَيَّ وَقَدْ قَضَيْتَ حَاجَتَكَ

Mukhlid bin Malik told us, Yahya bin Saeed Al-Umayy told us, Al-Hajjaj told us, on the authority of Husayn bin Abdul Rahman from the family of Saad bin Muadh. He said: Ibn Abbas said: I sought knowledge, but I did not find it more common than among the Ansar. So I used to go to the man and ask about him, and I would be told: “He is sleeping,” so I would lie down. Then I lie down until he comes out at noon, and he says, “When have you been here, O cousin of the Messenger of God?” I say, “A long time ago,” and he says. What a miserable thing you have done. Would you notify me so I could say, “I wanted you to come out to me and I have fulfilled your need.”

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ وُجِدَ أَكْثَرُ حَدِيثِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ هَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَاللَّهِ إِنْ كُنْتُ لَآتِي الرَّجُلَ مِنْهُمْ فَيُقَالُ هُوَ نَائِمٌ فَلَوْ شِئْتُ أَنْ يُوقَظَ لِي فَأَدَعُهُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ لِأَسْتَطِيبَ بِذَلِكَ حَدِيثَهُ

Ahmad bin Abdullah bin Yunus informed us, Abu Bakr told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr, on the authority of Abu Salamah bin Abdul Rahman, on the authority of Ibn Abbas said that most of the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was found in this neighborhood of the Ansar. By God, if I were to go to the man from them It is said, “He is sleeping, so if I want him to wake me up, then I can leave him until he comes out so that I can enjoy his conversation.”

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ لَوْ رَفَقْتُ بِابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ لَأَصَبْتُ مِنْهُ عِلْمًا كَثِيرًا

Abu Muammar Ismail bin Ibrahim told us, on the authority of Sufyan bin Uyaynah, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Salamah, who said, “If I were to be kind to Ibn Abbas I gained a lot of knowledge from him
